so i bought the car from a private party and i lost my keys. dont ask.

so the only alternative would be to go to the dealer and pay the price for a while new ignition and locks on both sides? or can they make replacements without an original?

i have proff of vin and the cars under my name and everything soo?

also was only giving a single key, no spare.

Call the dealer, tell them you lost your keys and need a new one cut from the vin. If its titled in your name and what not there should be no problem.

I had toyota cut me a new key for an MR2 i had a while back like that, cost me about $25 and took about 20 minutes. wasn't even titled in my name yet, but i had the signed off title and a bill of sale, which was good enough for them.
