Ive had a second hand 99 gst for about a year now and never really floored it. I tried today @ about 80% throttle in 1st gr after i slowly reached around 2500 rpm and my car freakin tire hopped/squeeled out so badly i thought i was hitting consecutive pot holes in the road. Was your dsm liek this stock? My car currently has an exhaust, boost controller set to 15 psi, and afc set to 0, everyhting else stock. Anyone know the stock turbo engagement rpm also?

the T-25 starts spool a little under 2000 RPM and for me hits full boost around 2800 RPM. Oh yea welcome to the world or wheel hop that comes from the massive torque ( for an I-4) of the 4G63  It happens to ALL FWD just learn how to regulate the throttle in first and get a LSD, wide/sticky tires, and prothane mounts to fight against it :dsm:

I was wondering if getting an LSD makes it harder to turn cuz both tires spin. I had a Ford explorer and once i turned on 4x4, that car turned like crap.

A LSD will drive just like a normal car just that both tires will have traction going forward.

For your SUV it probably locked the diffs which made the tires turn together. I have a welded Center Diff so my rear tires always go the same speed no matter if I"m turning or not. It makes navigation around Parking lots annoying because it jumps and what not.

You've had it a year and never floored it? That was the first thing I did when I test drove mine..

Lol, that's what I was thinking too. Hell, I even went WOT through 1st and 2nd when I was test driving mine before I bought it! :D

I always figured the test drive meant you were supposed to test all of the components to make sure nothin was close to breaking. The only way to do that is by tryin to break stuff. :D

Hehe...I always take cars that I test drive for a "drive"! :D I make sure they are in good order!!

get some new polyurathayn engin mounts, they will def stiffen up your ride and reduce the bounce in the front end my talon had the same problem it was so bad the windsheild whipers turnned on b.c the switch was bounced so much
