When can I change the transmission fluid?

Ok so i've done some research on about what fluid to get and seems like the most common one is "pennzoil synchromesh" so i think i'll go with that.

only thing i can't find is when is a good time to change that? I've got a 99 Spyder GST with 68K on here all original car is fine but it could shift a lot smoother for sure. So i was thinking if i changed the fluid that it might help.

I've heard as a general statement for regular cars that it's not good to change the fluids to soon or often because of it setting in and it getting used to it.

I lost my manual and I can't find anything in the Chilton book....a little help guys?

I'm not sure what the manual says, but Jon at TRE says every 5,000 miles. Most people don't change there trans. oil that often. But changing your oil would not hurt anything. The more power you are making and the harder you drive it, the more often you need to change it.

The manual states every 60k, I recommend tranny fluid change every 30,000 miles or 24 months.
