Well tax return is soon approaching for me and I want to get some light weight wheels.
I plan on sticking with 16" wheels. My car is lowered 1.5" with the tokico blue shock and spring package. I want to go with 16x7s

I wanted to know for occasional street runs and daily driving what offset and tire combo would be best for me?

A +40 offset will be a better choice for you as you'll be moving the wheel further out and adding clearance to the upper control arm. If you use a +40, you can run a maximum tire width of 225mm. With the +45 offset, the wheel will be further inside the well and if you have excessive negative camber from being lowered, this may present clearance problems and you would be better served by choosing a 215mm width. Please note that while a 225 will fit either wheel since they're both 7" wide, I'm not sure how aggressive your negative camber is and would rather play it safe than rub if you get the +45 offset.

If it was my choice, I'd use the +40 and have plenty of clearance with 225's. Let me know if that makes sense,

I have the same set of wheel still in the box for over 6 months now. andymoraitisWhat would be the complete tire size. I figured if a shorter side wall is used the gear ratio would become bigger in turn losing some top end but gaining low end(quicker). This is practiced used with rear/front drive car to help with or stop tire spin. ;)
