well.... I tested the obd II cable from scantool and to the best of my knowlage it DOES NOT WORK. We just hooked it up to my buddys palm with his registered version of Pocketlogger for OBD II and we couldn't get the palm to connect. His cable should be in the mail tomorrow and when I getto loo the chance k at it I bet I will confirm my doubts that the two cables are wired differently.........but there is a plus side. The cable was made...so it can be un-made. I am willing to bet money that all i will have to is open it , switch the wires around, and seal it back up. I will be using a DVOM to check the connections, then of course the real test...to see if It will datalog. I will write more about my finds tomorrow evening, and if I get it to work with minimal effort, I will be sitting at 35 for the scantool cable, 10 for the hotsync cable, and a registerd version (with updates) of Pocketlogger for free....all that is left is a palm (or laptop).....will post more later. thanks for the space.

I just recieved my Multiplex Engineering T16-003 OBDII new and Palm M100 used off of half.com for a combined total of $122 shipped. I downloaded the palmstien software and had everything up and running in about 20 minutes. I must say that I am very pleased about this setup and you can't beat the price! :D

Thanks HAL!

Now I have what I need to tune the GM MAF, 20g, 550cc inj., and 3" exhaust I just installed!

BTW, it's been posted before but here again is the link for tunerstein/palmstein software http://206.124.12.138/codsm/tunerstein/webpage/download.html

Ok for the 2g guys and tunerstein you will need the T16-003 OBD-II interfaces its 85.00 but its the only thing that will work with the 2g's and then you will need a NULL modem cable. they are about 10.00 and thats all you need.
