I have a 96 gst 4g63 with a tdo6 20g not sure if stock ecu, what do I need to get car tuned, and where could I find the stuff incase it is there and I don't know? most of work on car was done when I bought.

The first step would be to take the ECU out and inspect it by taking the cover off.

If you are on a 20g, than you'll need to upgrade the fuel setup, assuming it isn't already. Before doing any kind of tuning you need to research and decide on what tuning method would best suite your needs. A lot of guys like ECMlink, it's extremely simple to use once you understand what it is you're doing, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg compared to other setups, and you can use it to tune from stock-level setups to methanol injected beasts.

As far as what's needed, at the least you'll need a wideband o2, some sort of logging & tuning device or the ECU chipped to your specific setup, and before attempting to tune I would

1. verify what kind of fuel setup you have going on as far as fuel pump, injectors, etc.
If it is stock, you do not want to turn up the boost on that 20g.

2. Make sure everything is mechanically sound on your car, all maintenance up to date, proper mechanical and ignition timing, no boost leaks, etc.
