Vancouver,
ok my setup:

Evo3 16G
3" GM MAS
MAF-T ( all zero's except for 550cc and 3" size setting)
24x12x3.5 Short Route FMIC
550cc denso
255LPH
K&N
18PSI
SS Tubular Manifold
SS O2 housing
SS 3" O2 Back , No Cat, 3" in 4" out muffler

OK now thats out of the way...

i have NO AFPR , afc, or anything... no logger, zero.

im probably running pretty rich right now

my question is... when i go to get it dyno tuned, how do they actually tune if i have no afc or afpr? what do they adjust and where on my car? do they reprogram my ecu? or what gets done after they log my runs?

I beleive they put in a wideband if i'm not mistaken. Depends what place you go to.

they wont be able to do anything to control your fuel so you will only be doing a bunch of baseline runs.
they cant even turn your boost down to get better A/F ratios naturaly from the ECU cause of the 550's.

Get an S-AFC instead of the dyno tune.

well, i was going to get it done before my exhaust but they said it would be a waste of time and money cause it wouldnt be accurate after...
but he hooked up a few cords from his laptop under my dash and it was reading my rpms, O2 volts, knock, stuff like that.

with the results can he use and tune my MAF-t for idle, low, mid, and WOT fuel and air dials?

Like I said before, depends on the shop.. Go there when you have some free time or call them and ask them and tell them your situation.

You can tune with the MAFT, but it's wicked inaccurate tuning. I will never, if I can help it, buy one of those things. They completely throw off your air metering and are so finicky to tiny changes, it just doesn't seem worth it. Why did you buy a MAFT instead of an AFC? You certainly weren't overrunning the stock. Also, you NEED an AFPR with that 255, otherwise you're running rich all the time. Why can't people figure this out...you have a 255, GET THE DAMN AFPR.

sorry i read too fast!!!

i see now you have a MAF-T.
yeah they will put a wide band on it and use that proble and play with your tanslator control box a little to change the base settings a little for idle, mid-cruise and WOT.

keymaster is right. i was getting 190 miles per tank and didnt know why. it was the 255 overrunning the FPR. got the FullThrottleSpeed one and now i get 300+ miles per tank.

For the assholes that dont like miles per tank rating, my current gas logs (i write it all down every fillup) is 21MPG city 25MPG hwy.
