trying to get my car tuned

Hi I have a 95 tsi with a big 16g and am tryin to figure out how tuning works all info is appreciated I am mainly lookin for info on how to make my car tunable ie what do I need to buy or change

Looking at your mod list, it's pretty sparse. To tune your car and run more than just stock boost, you will need injectors, AFPR, and a fuel pump (Walbro 255). To actually tune your car, go with DSMLink. It is the best solution, from a cost/benefit point of view. Talk to BrokenTSi (RCI Vendor who sells injectors/AFPRs/pumps) and also look at ECMTuning, Inc.. They have a wiki and videos that show/teach you how to tune your car using DSM Link. Other than that, I would just do a ton of research on fuel setups (there are 890670157896 "What injectors should I use for my 16g turbo" threads on the board here) as well as a plethora of other info on fuel systems and DSM Link.

Few different ways. Aem ems, Dsm link, safc.

First of all what are your goals? Mods?

I see you have a 95 and Most 95s came with an eprom ecu. Check to see if you do. If so you would be one step close to using Dsm link. Which I have been told is one of the best for our card. I have yet to experience this but will be shortly in the future.

I am planning on gettin the walbro fuel pump and 272 cams I was told by a dsm shop my injectors were good to around 500 hp my goal is 400 so to use dsm link u just plug it right in? I am also interested on converting to speed density

And if your ecu is epromed and socketed then yes plug in and play! But make sure you get a wideband!

First and for most you need a Wideband o2 if you don't have one now. There's a lot of routes to go for tuning..pocket loggers, DSMLink, Ostrich, Jackel, SAFC. You need to figure out how much your wanting to spend and how deep your willing to get involved with it. I wouldn't jump right in and get DsmLink because the learning curve (or gap) will be ridiculous. Id think that would almost be overwheming . IMO I say get a data logger and a SAFC. It's a good way to learn the basics of tuning and your car. It's what Im doing

Stock injectors I find 500hp hard to believe how big should I go and how to u get it epromed and socketed it should have an eprom ecu from what I've heard about 95s I am completly lost when it comes to ecu stuff

What is a data logger and safc is air fuel controller right

Stock injectors wont go to 500hp. There a few that may argue different but hey why not be safe and sure and go bigger injectors right.

And I see you have the Fwd. 400hp will give you MAJOR wheelspin unless your ready to spend the money on all the supporting power mods such ask LSD and equal length half shafts and such.

But the ecmlink link that was posted will tell you exactly how its dine. Basically you send them your ecu and they do it. And if you but a package it comes out cheaper too.

Check to make sure your ecu is epromed.
