okai guys im a newbie here.i have a 1997 eclipse gst bone stock!my goal is to hit the low 400hp on pump gas.this is my DD and i plan to take it to the tracks once in a while.i need help finding a turbo and i have reviewed a couple like the 16g ,big 16g ,20g ,hx35 ,gt35r but still dont know which turbo(any kind) produces quick spool and hp..i need some advice fellow dsmers

My budget only for the turbo is 1200 but it depends on the turbo if I want to go higher.but a xheap and fast turbo is better.i like the 20g the sound pretty popular but if someone has a
holset hy35 or hx35 hookups let me know.thry also sound pretty kool

Please do not go buy a big ass turbo and put it on your car expecting it to make hella power. Please have proper supporting mods!

id go with a 20g,i picked up a hahn s20g t3 manifold with an externalgate on it and a turbo timer for 300bucks plus my tubuler dsm manifold, and the turbo just needs a rebuild, you can find them cheap and they are good turbos

to go safe internally imo, i'd go with the fp hta68 or cheaper with the fp 20g and switch the ex.housing to a 16g hot side, otherwise external gate with the fp green for more future mod. i'm in the process with the fp green on order with o2 external watesgate. hoping around 400+ also. this i would say, all supporting mod are required for any upgrade. it's best to get full potential of your setup.

Hey dsmtyson.so what if the 20g comes in the t3? : /

You would have to buy a T3 manifold. A 20G with a DSM housing would bolt right up to the stock manifold no problem. And spool a bit faster as well.

It would easily get you to 400hp. I'm going with a 20g with a 7cm^2 turbine housing, i'll have it in 2 weeks.
