I know this thread has been answerd time and time again. Tho it seems that the answers are changing. I used to think act was a good company but 1000 miles later not so much. I have done some research on this in some old threads and everyone has some hooror story. I was over on another forum and there was several race shops including Dave Busher himself said that act is going down hill and will no longer sell there product. Some recommend fidanza and Exedy. But there is several post on here saying fidanza clutch disk break and springs come out. Also they can't take heat very well. I have herd good things abought south bend but not a whole lot. So I was wondering what people on here are running now that times have changed and mostly everyone on here is making over 400 whp or atleast shooting for it. Is anyone mixing and matching Pp and clutch disk. Also I've herd good things abought twin disk but most people are only getting 15,000 on a twin disk setup that cost 3 times as much as a regular clutch.

Fidanza flywheel, ACT2600, and a southbend TZ kevlar disc.

The setup is simply amazing. I just finished my AWD swap not too long ago and I had astock flywheel/disc/PP on and I thought it grabbed. No. i have a USED fidanza, USED ACT2600, and a new SB TZ disc...my clutch hasn't been properly bled but it still grabs really good.

More and more I hear about ACT declining. The springs break... And now it seems the fingers on the pressure plate like to just break off... Has happened to me and other people I know. ACT just doesnt seem to be what it used to be. Especially the 2600. Just search 2600 pressure plate/clutch problems. There are more and more as time goes on. And I have bought many ACT products in my day... But since this last summer, I think I will have to go with other companys. Sheptrans.com has good discs for cheap.

i just got an act2900 with a clutchnet sprung six puck and so far drivability wise i love it. i know a few people running 600whp daily drivers on this type of clutch. ill be going to the dyno to get the car tuned so i can let you know about how it holds up when i actually launch it and drive it aggressively
