IF i want to buy a new engine and tranny what is the fastest motor and tranny that would fit in my 2g talon tsi awd and how much would it cost someone said a evo motor and evo tranny or someone else said gut every in car and put all evo into it

Just build up your motor. The Evo motor and ours are both 4G63 and just for an FYI incase you ask there is NO JDM special motor for our car. It's domestic :)

The new Evos motor sits on the passenger side while our 4g is on the driver side.

From the sound of your question, I looks like you are wanting to put a bigger displacement motor into your 2g? DSMs are known for big power on little displacement. With a 4g63, the sky and your budget are the only limits on power. The stock tranny has been pushed time and time again past the 400 awhp mark, but i have never been a fan of seeing how far stock will go.

If you are serious about having a motor and tranny built for high hp, I would reccommend looking through the supporting vendors list and contacting a shop who can take care of you. I would suggest that you do a LOT of reading on this forum before you do anything else.

Depending on ## budget u should do some work on ## 7 bolt motor small things that can be eventually tranfersed over to a 6 bolt if your looking to get some good hp. If ## not familiar with the 7 bolt it is know for crankwalk were the 6 bolt is not. You could go for a bigger displacment motor but again it all depends on what goal you have set for urself and ## budget.

To the OP- Read through the upgrade paths found on this site, they're a pretty good tool for getting you pointed in the right direction. Most DSMers make power through modification of the 4G63 already in our cars, not through motor swaps, and as stated before Evo swaps are incredibly impractical. Your best bet for a fun car is to modify your existing engine, not to swap it. Also, take your time to search through this website and read up on any planned modifications you might have, I guarantee you any questions you have at this stage can be answered by a simple search

Spyder420- That's some bad advice. The stock T25 isn't nearly efficient enough to "run big boost" with any degree of success, it's practically tapping out from the factory, and you fail to mention the fact that in order to "run big boost" on any other turbo he might upgrade to he would need a plethora of supporting mods (fuel, engine management, etc). Furthermore, 6 bolt motors were only installed on 90-mid year 92 cars, after that the 1gs use 7 bolts. I don't know if you're just trying to get your post count up but you've been around for 5 years, you should know better than that.

run big boost till your 7 bolt goes dont worry about crank walk its over rated, get a 6bolt 91 - 94 block 2g head. look around theres alot of info about parts already tested:dsm:

A 6-bolt is a 90-92.5 engine. They switched in the middle of 92.

Does the car run? did you just buy it like that, because with those mods you could be making some very good power. If you just need a motor I would shoot joe from sbr a pm or check his threads in the vendor section as he is always cutting some good deals. So get a motor from him keep all the mods you have right now get a good tune and you will be making some serious power.

I would also look into getting a new trans. Look into sheptrans.

chinola69.... really? anything can crank walk, less than 2% of the 4g63's came forward for having CW. the 6 bolt doesn't have that idiotic reputation because there simply weren't enough made, to break...... nine times out of ten CW comes from someone pushing the stock engine too far (abuse), putting the engine together in a rush and doing a half-assed job, or the owner not preforming maintenance, wrong parts, ect. ect. anything with a crank can lose its crank.... over tensioning your belts can slowly cause it... consumer ignorance.... that's the reason for crankwalk......... and the same reason why DSM's have bad reputations in the first place. i know of two 4g63t's.... ones a 96 talon, one's a 99 GSX.... both over 150K on the dash on original internals, boost all day with no problems, the reason that is possible, you'll never guess.... its common sense, research, and taking care of your own car

Your list isn't bad. But I don't see what it has to do with a particular motor that you seem to be asking about. And by the way, the FP Green isn't a ball-bearing. The 3052 and 3065 are, though.

Any motor is only as good as it's parts and assembly.
Buy the best parts you can afford and have it built right.
New crank, rods, pistons, girdel, bearings.
Or just buy a crate motor if your rich.

This is a 4 month old thread. I saw you did this on another 4 month old thread as well. This is a no no for trying to up your post count.
