lookin for an aftermarket shift knob that screws on like factory so I dont get that wobble the those little aftermarket knob screws come loose - afraid to buy one online and it not screw on - any thoughts?

thanks - but im looking for something more like the trust knob - that has kind of the diamond cut on the top

I've never done this, but do you think putting loctite on the set screws and then tightening them really well would keep it from wobbling? I used loctite on my old gas RC car, the motor vibrated like crazy when it idled (it would almost rattle the whole car out of your hands), all the un-loctited screws were loose, but the loctited ones (including motor mounts) were still tight. If loctite kept those screws in, I think it will keep anything from coming loose!

Fine then, I hate you. Why not just get the GReddy diamond knob? I had it, it was was great.

Check out the greddy Counterweight or the Evo shift knob. I have th evo knob and it great also everyone else say the greddy knob is a good replacement! The greddy is cheaper so do whatever's in your budget!

Thanks for your help guys I think I will try the Greddy knob - and maybe I'll try the loctite if it starts to come loose - appreciate the responses

i've seen that circular base of the shifter on the machv site before and god i love it... what did he rip that from? it's so beautiful! maybe it's just me gettin ecxited over nothing but i think that thing is AWESOME!!!!

Any real aftermarket knowb is a screw-in.

Those set-screw uninversal ones are a joke.

I have the Greddy counterweight one and it's a dream. By far the best weighted feel I've ever touched :)

Yes it is and it's very bad! I have the knob luckily it was a gift because it's exspensive! I don't like the metal knobs, in the summer they are to hot and the winter they are freezing cold, the EVOVIII is leather so it's a awesome knob!

you could buy a momo shift knob and a momo shift boot...the boot and the knob screw together for a nice clean look

why dont you just buy the trust knob? i got one for $35, but i cant ever find them any more. i love mine but you gotta polish it all the time to make sure the finger prints dont get stuck on their

well - I found the trust traditional knob - but now I cant decide between the trad and the counter weight - does anyone know if the traditional one is heavy? i want a heavy one but not a ball. . . . thoughts?
