What people mean by rewiring the fuel pump?

Hey guys, I'm wanting to know what people mean by rewiring the pump. My hp goal is set for 400 so I'm trying to figure out my fuel setup to run. Thanks.

The average pump get around 12 volts of current when connected to the battery which is a 25 percent loss since your battery's nominal voltage is around 13 to 14 volts. Rewiring the pump to say the alternator gives u a higher voltage draw and less current drop which equals more fuel or lph sent to the injectors adding in helping with increasing boost for more power. But most of the drop occurs with the gauge of the wire try to use a 12 or 10 gauge wire if u plan on doing it and read more info about it before your decision.
