I posted this once today but i cant seem to find where it went so im going to start over?

Im looking at buying a new turbo the motor im building is going to have 750-800 awhp i still want to be able to drive it on the street too so i dont want anything to massive. I was looking at a borg warner 74mm turbo, any comments on this? also if i get that what kind of wastegate and manifold should i get with it?
I have the motor and head built to handle the power and the drive train now i want to start adding the turbo and stuff to it. Any ideas besides the borg turbo? i want it to be able to handle 700+ so anytime down the road i can add more power and not have to worry about buying a new turbo.
Also what size injectors should i get 1300cc do good along with a single walbro or would i need a double pump setup?

You have zero mods in ## profile so I'm with Brad. ## not even ready for 300 awhp. You need to make baby steps. Tuning wide and injectors fuel system intercooler motor transmission all of that needs to be addressed before a 700 awhp build. I if you just dive into it you will be way over you're head before you know it then there will be a part out thread. I start small and go from there

A t-25 will easily get you to 700whp, trust me.........

haha, well even though I kind of want to jump on the bandwagon, I will resist the urge. :D

"Not too massive", and "I want 750-800 whp" don't go together in the same sentence. Look into the HX-52.

Add your mods to your profile.

You will need more than one fuel pump.

You will need much larger inj than that.

What kind of drivetrain do you have?

What makes you think you need 750-800 whp? You're looking for a low 9 sec car here. WTF That takes a tremendous amount of work, planning and money!!!

building a motor to handle 700 - 800 horsepower and making 700 - 800 horsepower are two different things. Way to many factors to just say try this one, i.e. fuel type ,management, I would this this a drag car or dyno queen but you haven't told us. I would suggest browsing some of the profiles of the fastest/ highest horsepower cars on the site. see what they have if they are sharing that info. if you have built something like this before post it in the thread so everybody doesn't thikn you don't know what your getting into. do lots of reaeding and good luck.

just reread original post. 700-800 streetable as in pump gas, full interior, glass windows, suppose the ac and power steering is still gonna be on there too? just make sure your blow off valve is louder than the three 15inch subs your gonna have in the back for the honda meets and decible drags.:hellyeah: on a more serious note how about some info on this bulletproof motor and drivetrain setup.

Money isnt a issue, im ready to spend the money and do it right and not take any short cuts....This is what i want to build so this is what im building i dont have anything posted on here because i dont get on here to much. I was asking a simple question what people thought about the borg warner turbos.

I have a 5 angle valve job with a fully ported and polished head
85.5 manley i beam rods 8:5:1 compression fordged pistons
Eagle fordged 4340 knifed crank 88mm
brian cower 280 cams with upgraded valve springs valves retainers and cam gears
stage 4 shep tranny with the shep transfer case rebuild
full 3 inch apex exhaust with down pipe
motor was balanced and blue printed

what else would you like to know?

im not trying to sound like a ass but i have decided this is what i want to build and i have been doing research on turbos and i was just curious what people thought about the borg turbos and if anyone is using them and how they like them, and what kind of turbo was compairable to the borgs 74mm

These threads never get old.

Agreed. There is a reason the description on the newbie forum says "How to run 10's when you haven't run 12's yet".

OP- Look at the flow rate and bearing type of each turbo your considering. If Turbo A has dual ball bearings and flows at 65 lbs/min, it will be a relatively quick spooling 650hp capable turbo. If Turbo B has journal bearings but flows at 70 lbs/min, then it will be slower to spool but provide more power. If your curious about a specific turbo, type it into the search bar and I'm sure you'll find at least a thread or two regardless of how off-the-wall it is.

But I'm with the majority on this one. There is a difference between building an engine to handle 700hp and building an engine that makes 700hp. So just make sure you do your research.
