Hi, I'm just curious at what kind of MPG (miles per gallon) or how many miles you are getting per full tank?

please list mods and type of driving

I'm currently getting around 210-230 miles per full tank, i fill my tank with exactly 11 gallons of 92 octane. thats what 20 bucks buy in hawaii.

right now i have just an intake, 2.5 dp and 3in full piping catback

car is just used for transportation, once in a while i would just sample it a few times.

The last time I filled up I got about 51 miles to the tank :) Perhaps i'm running a bit rich :D I'm still trying to get the hang of tuning  I figure if I leave a black smoke trail behind I will never get lost (i'll just follow it back home)

For those of you telling us how many miles you got to a tank, it doesn't tell us ANYTHING. You need to tell us your mileage per gallon, any other information is useless.

I get 18-19 in the city, and about 25 on the highway. I drive hard. 1993 AWD, 14b, 550's.

If we can't tell them to search for a question that has been answered more times than you can count *AND* has been stickied to the top of the forum in the FAQ section, why bother telling them answer the exact question? At this point, it's pointless either way.

406.25 mpg for you ;)

According to service manual, fuel tank capacity is 16.9 gallons. So just do the math when they give you miles per tank.

406.25 miles per tank divided by 16.9 = ~24 mpg.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'll bet most of you aren't really running the tank completely dry when posting your numbers, you are just posting when your gas light comes on. I found that when the gas light is steady on my car, there are ~ 1-2 gallons still left in the tank. If you are filling up at the gas station, watch your gallon intake. You can subtract your gallon intake from 16.9, and figure out, how much was left in the tank before you chickened out and went to the gas station.

i too get about 200 230 miles... its seems as though iam filling up 2 tymes a week... i live about 80 miles form my work and going back and forth especialy when my school is halfway there.. so i go to school come back home then go to work.... so its 80 from school to house then 80 to work then another 80 back... thats about a full tank a day... haha iam killing myself over this one..

I get 18-22mph, i usually fill up just below quarter so like 11 gallons, max ive put in is 13 gallons. My old 95 tsi awd got like 15mpg it was horrible, so im happy with 20+ LOL...i think once i get a AFPR and get tuned better it should improve even more.

Anyone notice a gas mileage difference changing over to ls1 maf? Ive read they read very accurately and I would think that could really help out gas mileage.

i just filled up today, only hit 175miles on my last tank (i had about 1/4 tank left tho.) running 89 octane, and usually below 60mph. ehhh thats not good now is it. i filled up using 92 tho, think i put 10gallons in (about 21.50$ @ 2.15$/g)

Last two times I checked - first time 31.3 mpg and just today when I filled up 28.6mpg

so pretty good, at least it makes me happy!

Is that better for you more specific guys with your tankful of gas flames

what kind of plugs do you use? i put the bosch platinum + 4 in mine and it helped...i know cuz i watch my mpg all the time..try those....also i usually use 91..sometimes 90
I use 89 in my GS, city it still gets about 27mpg, while highway it gets about 31. New fuel filter, O2 sensor, plugs (I got the regular Bosch platinums), and plug wires, just like your local Autozone recommends, should help.

I took a 1200 mile drive with a buddy in a 90 laser fwd turbo (no body kit or wing). The car had a K&N filter a 2 1/2" cat back and mobil 1 oil. From NY to fla we got 34mpg all highway driving. :D

I have a 92 AWD automatic.

Mods: HUGE Gude gorilla cams, 2.4 liter, oversized valves, stock injectors, 3.5" maft, stock exhaust. While breaking the engine in I got 15 mpg city. :barf:

Guys post your mileage on your AWD or FWD turbo
cars. please put if you have auto or manual if you have bigger injectors...

Also how many miles do you go on a tank full between city and highway driving.

Thanks,
Jim

awd 5speed 550cc injectors/walbro 255, i get apx19.5-20.0 daily, i usually get a couple miles less if i slam it alot, and a couple miles more if i do interstate driving. On a full tank i can get about 220

this week I got 345miles on 13.9gallons( I kept the receipt ;) )
which is 24.8mpg. the first quarter tank was on the highway, the other 75% was city driving

then I filled up with another 14gallons :thumb:

anyone ever got more than 14gallons in there tank?

I recently got 14.2 and 230 Miles on the last fill-up. I thought these four bangers would get better mileage. This was with conservative 50/50 city/highway driving.

mostly stock TSi awd.

I just changed my fuel filter and am now getting over 2mpg more. and we just put a downpipe and intake on our evo, and we gets about 2-3 mpg more now from that. hopefully a maft on the talon and evo will give us better mpg too when we lean it out.

Sacred Bovine! I filled up for the first time after reconnecting the EGR and I got 5mpg LESS with the EGR connected! Only 23mpg out of that tank... Ouch. I wonder how come that is? Emissions can't possibly be reduced when I'm using that much MORE gas...

the EGR system actually increases gas mileage. when you remove the system or block it off, you get crappier gas mileage. you also increase the chance of detonation and high temps by removing it.

here's some links to prove it:

http://autorepair.about.com/cs/generalinfo/l/bldef_165.htm

http://www.tpub.com/content/construction/14264/css/14264_153.htm

http://www.ukcar.com/features/tech/Engine/techno/exgr.htm

your egr valve must have been stuck open all the time, that's why you were getting really bad gas mileage.

About 130 miles per tank. Filling up at 12 gallons after recording milage. recirculated bov, stock boost, no boosting, stock turbo, k&n , 02 elim tb

Pathetic. ;(

so you were getting crappy gas mileage stock, then removed the egr equipment and got 5mpg better? or is it the other way around?

did you just plug up the vacuum line? or did you remove the whole thing and use block-off plates?

When I bought the car the EGR just had the vacuum lines unplugged, no block off plate and I was getting 28mpg. Now that I reconnected the EGR I'm only getting 23mpg...

I got a check engine on too but i get about 330 city miles per tank on my GST 5 speed
Mods
3" Apexi exust no cat
Forge Blow off
Manual Boost Controler Set to 13psi

How to find out miles per gal.

1. Fill up full tank
2. Reset ur odometer meter
3. Drive till almoust empty
4. Fill up the full tank (again)
5. Check and see howmany gal. u filled up.
6. Check and see howmany miles u drove
7. Divide # of miles per # of gal.
Exemple i drive 330 miles on about 15 gal
330 / 15 = 22 miles a galon
This is and avrage i get if not spooling the turbo or racing people
MPG Will depend on how you drive and how you shift the gears (if u have 5 speed)
