Can't see the picture. Has to be cropped/resized to correct dimensions before you can post it.

the pics are fine. the guy under you can see them also

Do my eyes deceive me or does it really say Power TR Unit on it??
If this is the case, I have absolutely no idea what it is doing on that side of the engine. It would be the Power Transistor Unit which is over by the coil and timing belt on a 1g at least, no so sure about 2g's.

Ding.. Ding.. Ding...... Correct!!!!

Def the power transistor switch but mines on the driver side of the IM, but maybe cause i dont have a 6 bolt swap, either way good luck

I have the same thing on mine. I guess thats where it ends up in a 2G with a 6 bolt swap.

haha i guess so.. it doesnt have to be bolted to anything right? what is that metal back part? i dont have any performance issues or anything so im guessing im alright..

thanks for the help guys

Honestly, I'm not sureabout the metal back. I think it is just fine hanging like that as another DSM'er around here has the same thing and it isn't holding him back from 10's.

That is the power transistor module and if you want it to last it should be bolted to something since it acts as the heatsink for it.

Mine is just kinda floating in the engine bay too. I also have a 6 bolt swap but there is no place on the coil pack bracket to bolt it to. (I have a modified 2g bracket with 1g coil packs) Sorry to steal this thread but can it be bolted to anything? Or does it have to be in close contact with the coil packs?
