what is this and what does it do pictures inside

what is the black box and the grey box under the black one what do they each do cause i bought a roller 91 gsx and it does not have these however it is in my 92 gsx.... i have been putting a jdm motor in the 91 and cant get a spark and i am guess this is my problem thanks and here is the picture...

My guess is factory alarm, thats what mine looks like. Where is it located in the car?

I don't think it's an amp. They tend to be a bit slimmer and wider than tall and fat.
