Exactly what I was thinking. The FP *Race* manifold is exactly that, a race manifold with huge ports and would be a 100% mismatch with a 16G.Right on, what's your goal?
By the time it's all said and done I'd like to see 350-400 to the wheels. I know a 16g can get close, or just above the 300 mark, but I'm sure I'd need bigger. What would yall suggest turbo-wise? FP green is what i was looking at if i were to upgradeExactly what I was thinking. The FP *Race* manifold is exactly that, a race manifold with huge ports and would be a 100% mismatch with a 16G.
FP Green hands down.By the time it's all said and done I'd like to see 350-400 to the wheels. I know a 16g can get close, or just above the 300 mark, but I'm sure I'd need bigger. What would yall suggest turbo-wise? FP green is what i was looking at if i were to upgrade

I wish I would’ve went with a green over the blackwell hell you've made up my mind
shit finna get REAL
. Gonna pull motor and trans and start fresh(ish) since I really don't know the history of this motor. Bottom end seems fine though so hopefully just a re-seal will be okay for that. But definitely needs head work and the input shaft bearing replaced so screw it, out it comes!Whatever you need bro. We'll find it.I will need parts help from our community to get this all back together.
Shit dude, hate to see it. People suck.Sorry for the long post & rambling but I am still extremely pissed. Wasn't even go fast (25-30 mph at most). Didn't even set of the air bags.
Not today, actually Tuesday but; "pictures speak a thousand words". Anyway, not my fault, other driver crossed 5 lanes of stop & go traffic leaving a Home Depot parking lot running out through the gap drivers were leaving & whammy. I fely like I was doing a TV commercials where the little kid runs out between parked cars chasing their little ball.
This is my 1997 GSX Manual, all factory original except for some Tein Flex coilovers & a OEM style drop-in K&N filter. Sunburned paint is by choice (keeps the pan handlers at bay. One look & they keep walking). Just finish a 2-1/2 year plus dis-assembling, cleaning & replacing anything plastic, rubber, & gaskets that holding fluids from the firewall forward; literally every nut and bolt. New clutch (Southbend), completely rebuilt PS rack, inner/ outer tie rods, oil pan, both fenders, bumper, alternator, battery, etc ... everything apparent and complete rebuild. Made it 3,368 miles after getting the tire back on the ground.
Insurance said "gee your car is old, looks like it will be a total". Car's still being moved around wait the appraisal is still pending, police report also (police can take up to 2 weeks to do the report).
Told insurance my car will not be totaled, will be repaired at my choice of facility, not my fault-not my problem.

Edit: One last thing- everything worked; power doors, windows, driver's seat, even the power antenna as well as the factory original Infinity radio. You must be logged in to view this image or video.

Ive been looking for a good swirlpot and top housing that wont cost thousands... There was a guy who was going to start them again but he didnt like all the hate he was getting figuring out the processLast event this year where I welded on a -16an fitting to the oem water neck, it cracked and started leaking. Those 30 year old glycol saturated cast parts just don't weld good no matter what you do. So I started making a solid replacement. Still waiting on the billet cap and neck to arrive to finish it up.

I know Eaton made one but I wouldn't give him a cent of my money.Ive been looking for a good swirlpot and top housing that wont cost thousands... There was a guy who was going to start them again but he didnt like all the hate he was getting figuring out the process
I had 2 housing snap on the ears... that started my search. Havent had issues in a couple years though.. and id rather have a nice valve cover if im choosingI know Eaton made one but I wouldn't give him a cent of my money.
I think there was one other company but it was like $450 and I have more important things to drop cash on, I never had any cooling issues as it was so this will be a good solid replacement for the old crappy cast part.

Do you have to do anything "special" with the input shaft to install a twin plate clutch? The old clutch didn’t like me anymore so figured I’d try out a twin
