@jdxnc would love to see more on your fueltech install. One of.my best friends fuel twchs everything bit no personal experience with a dsm. Assuming there is some crank sensor stiff needed among other stuff

If you're in FB I've been sharing all my updates there...yeah yeah, I need to do a build thread LOL

I'm going to be using the Kiggly 12-1 crank trigger kit in combo with the 2gb cam sensor(with one blade chopped off). FT has a build in MAP, using a Ford 3 wire TPS, GM coolant temp and the typical 3 pin delphi pressure sensors for oil, coolant, fuel and dome pressure.

Nice... the map and afr they have is seamless. Figured itd be a kiggly crank trigger.

Youre gonna love fuel tech. So easy to tune with and so many features you can add. Wheel speed sensors will help you watch for tire spin and pull power if youre spinning.

Installed the JMFab race front bumper. Fixed that terrible front bumper sag!

I took the inner fender splash shield off the drivers side wheel well looking for rust. Can’t find any. Just lots of dust. All the bolts came out like they were installed yesterday.

Attempted to test fit some Evo X Enkei Wheels on my 2g..... contrary to what some people have said about being a direct fit, they are not..... BUT.......... I found a solution; If you have what I think are the factory Hub assemblies the wheels will not fit. Most, if not all aftermarket hubs have a "reduced" end bore which allows the Evo X wheels to fit. Luckily I have some spare Hub assemblies I got with some New JDM Galant Knuckles I bought and was able to mock up the wheel/Evo rotor/hub assembly outside of the vehicle and it all worked great. I was going to remove the OEM hub assembly and put the new one but got lazy and said F this for now LOL.

Not surprised this would happen since the Evo X wheels are advertised as have a 67MM center bore and ours is slightly bigger which I'm guessing a factory Evo X hub assembly is "reduced" just like the aftermarket ones.

See the attached pictures for reference on what I'm talking about.

PS: if what I just typed sounds confusing af, to my defense I'm already 6 beers deep 🤣

How sure were you that your hub was OEM? Did it look more like my first picture or the 2nd one? I had about a 5MM gap with the hub I'm assuming is OEM vs the one that is reduced. Pictures of OEM hubs look more like my 2nd picture. https://stmtuned.com/products/mitsu...-2g-dsm-mr455004?_pos=39&_sid=e68e1c102&_ss=r

Is there a slight chance that the center bore of the Evo wheels may have been bored out to fit a DSM?

Pretty sure. The hub is original to the car and has been there since 1996.

Do you have a picture of your OEM hub that is currently attached to the car/Evo X wheel? the only other thing I could think is different is that the early 2g Dsm had somewhat of a different bore than that of the later ones. if you can please provide a picture of your hub attached to the Evo X wheel; who knows maybe I'm the only one out of all the 2G dsm cars that is having this issue 🤷‍♂️

I'll get you a photo of the hub when I get home. I can also get you some measurements. Unfortunately the wheel is on another vehicle currently but like I said I had no issues, front or rear, with fitment. I'm pretty sure the DSM and Evo center bores are the same at 67.1mm so I have no idea why yours would be different. Maybe it has taken a beating over the years and is out of round?

Any chance the wheels are powder coated? I run a set of evo8 wheels and after coating I had trouble. Forgot to cover that area.

Idk about that... DSM center bore is advertised as 69.... Even the Evo X is.... but the Evo X wheels center bore is 67mm so something is off. From what I've learned is that a Dsm and Evo VII-VIII have the same measurements all around; Evo X still has a cloud around it. Can someone else chime in on this?

Hmmmm I don't think a powder coat would make such a huge difference but it is something to look at.... The wheels I got do look like they have a factory coating.

Where did you see 69mm? Everything I looked at points to 67.1. All DSMs and EVOs are the same. Even hub centric rings for aftermarket wheels are 67.1 for majority of Mitsubishi vehicles. I mean, I've been wrong before but I'm fairly certain I'm right in this case.

Mitsu uses 67.1 across their line.

also source: I had Lancer GTS 18" on my 1G for a period of time

... for those that are wondering, yes, those are billet door handles. I'm told they were black, but the paint faded to gold over time. The passenger side is less noticeable and they'll be getting repainted this spring.

Adjusted the bumper a tiny bit. It was pushing the lights up so far that the hood couldn’t be popped open. I think this thing has been in a low speed collision in the front end before because I shouldn’t have to do this unless the bumper warped when JMFab welded it. Maybe someone else can chime in if theirs needed some bending/adjustment or if it just bolted right up no issue.

Started the clutch job over the weekend. Taken my time throughly cleaning and making sure everything is as it should. Already have the clutch kit. Waiting on the flywheel from Rixracing. Thanks for the help with everything.

I have a burning passionate hatred for Amazon, honestly. Now that they and the other companies like them put a metric ton of small businesses out of the picture because they took advantage of people being locked in their homes with nothing better to do and money to spend, now they change their practices to get rid of 2 day shipping almost entirely, their customer service SUCKS, and they do shady shi...stuff like this. It'll conveniently be delivered RIGHT before you're due for the refund. They give you a date they know they're not going to deliver on then just go "oh shucks, oops, we're gonna be much later than we quoted you. Thanks for paying for Amazon Prime though!"

That's pretty much my story. I got ONE of the EFI to 6an fittings but the rest came in a different pkg....and its SOMEWHERE. :banghead:

Why is the hub of that clutch disc so chewed up?
