What could have caused this tire wear?

Alright guys,
I walked outside to hop in the car this morning and found that both of my front tires have been worn down really far. :ohdamn: The real kicker is that here are less than 1,200 miles on them and when I had them put on they did an alignment so i know they were rolling straight. I just really find this strange any help on what i should look at would be helpful.

Thanks

My old Spyder did the exact same wear pattern every 6 months due to the prior owner lowering it without a camber kit. On stock suspension, only the Toe Angle can be changed. Camber and caster are not adjustable without an upgrade (on 2g DSMs that I know of).

Interesting that it took the user this long to notice his tires from the daily entrances in the car door let alone 1200 miles of city/highway driving ..... and you would think that one would easily notice a white ring of cord exposed on the outer outside edge of the tire a good time ago.

"hmmmm" ! Sorry, not buying this one...

Well, I got new tires on it today the shop swapped them for free and redid the alignment and we all couldnt really see what caused it. (Camber L: -0.8 R: -1.8, Caster L: 4.0 R: 4.3, Toe: -.01 both sides but it was +.06 before.)

And just so you know it was the white ring of cord that tipped me off, and that was yesterday, but its all cool. Hopefully there are no further issues, I am still going to look into the camber kits though due to overwhelming suggestions.

Thanks again.

Did they check for sloppy tie rod ends and sloppy ball joints?? Also, the alignment rack is only as good as the operator and not many can do a good job these days and Ive always checked my car after cause theyve left my tie rods and adjustable control arms LOOSE before- ALWAYS check your car after somebody else touches it, "professional" or not. Hell, Ive seen guys do a better job with a tape measure, string and a plumb bob is some cases. If there are any places around you that will check your alignment for free, Id go to one and see how closely the printouts match.

That is definitely a horrible toe adjustment, 1200 miles won't wear the edge like that. And you can see it's not a camber wear because it's showing positive camber wear.
