Filtered Catch Cans - DSM Classifieds

I am running the same catchcan, I recently switched to calans from the Boomba racing style ones. Mine is set up just as Gofer has his.

My boomba racing set up was a dual catchcan set up, one between the PCV and intake manifold and one from the valve cover to the turbo intake.

A custom guy, internally baffled. 2 -10an in, and 1 -12an out. Go big or go home!

So you guys ar not having issues by using just the intake as a vacuum source?
Only modest intake vacuum is needed to draw the modest crank-case blow-by in N/A mode. In F/I mode, the turbo compressor draws a stronger vacuum to draw heavier blow-by. If you keep the PCV to IM path, then the valve closes during F/I and all pressure venting is out the breather, whereas in N/A, the breather feeds the IM vacuum via the valve.

I like big. Internally baffled . two 10's and one 12

I'm not going to thread-jack.. but I just called RRE and they don't have any of their catch cans in stock. The rep I talked to also said they don't plan on getting anymore in stock any time soon.

Which means that Calan is one step closer to achieving "Ma Bell" status. :p

(Craig, these younger guys probably have no idea what I'm talking about LOL).

And just so no one says that I didn't contribute anything useful to this thread, I have the apparently now obsolete RRE plastic "can" with the mini breather filter removed and the top of the container sealed. I also replaced the two side fittings with larger 1/4 NPT fittings to match the rest of the breather side of my system.

Calan, what are your options for cheaper catch cans? I hear you have a setup for under 70. I think this would benefit the OP as well if his car is a DD just looking for some better venting options.
