What Cams to get?

Here is my mod list and my plans are to go with a B16G or some "bigger than 14B" but very quick spool time turbo. My question is what cams should I get? This is not a daily driver so driveability is a non issue:

HKS 272/272 or you could go with something from Forced Performance but you will have to get dual valve springs to use some of their bigger cams.

Why FP2's with a stock head? Are FP'2 a direct drop in (I can use the same Gears, springs, retainers, valves, etc)?

Will i loose allot of lowend with the FP2's?

I like Low End Torque for coming out of corners on road coarses.

Well, you should probably tell us what you want out of the cams. I'm sure you've done searches on different cam names so you probably already know which cams are known for what, right? If not, you should have, as there is a lot of info on all types of cams here in the forums if you just do a little digging. What have you found out about the cams you're interested in so far? Which cams are you considering and why? Are you worried about passing emissions?

Don't make us figure everything out for you now. With the way you worded your question, all you're going to get is people spitting out cam names and not telling you why they think they're better, which has already happened above. If you really want to find out what cams are best for your setup, you'll have to give us more info on what you want to achieve and why.

I was searching for cams not to long ago and I just called FP to see what they would suggest. I told them that I was planning on sticking with my E316 for a long time and that I would be using my car for HPDE's. I also told them I was looking for a cam that would give me a little more pull everywhere and not sacrifice low end power. They suggested their FP1's for what I was looking for.

I am happy with them but then again all I can compare them to is the stock cams. Personally I notice a little more low end pull in part throttle conditions, and the top end is a little stronger. BUT…these cams did NOT feel like a major improvement. They felt like the cams that the car should have come with from the factory. Just my two cents.

BTW this is at 20psi

Good feedback. You see, this guy stated what he wanted from the cams and what he was going to be using the car for. You can't choose a cam without knowing that. This is the info we need to know.
