I am looking at getting a junked car or just a shell and dropping a 4G63-T(eclipse turboed engine) into it and was wondering what all the differences were between the GS and GST i know theres a boost gauge and that in the console for the GST and that its turboed as well as the cataylitic convertor is bigger and it has dual tips out the back but i was wondering if i did those and stuck the GST sticker on the back hatch would it pretty much be a GST with the exception of the title saying GS or is there more interior differences or suspension differences between them? thanks and please help me i havent been able to find a list of differences or upgrades between the 2 anywhere and am gettin kinda agravated but thanks in advance :)

Suspension, exterior and interior are pretty much the same. Motor and tranny are totally different and on different sides. ecu is different. gst motor will not be easy to install and make it work on a gs. You migt wanna save enough to buy a gst or gsx.

I use to have a GS and was also looking at doing the swap. Its too much work, just buy the GST, the motor mounts, tranny mounts, everything is different. I think the hubs might be different, I could look up the part numbers on caps when I get home, but im in school now. But the main thing is, the swap is going to be a bi*** and nothing lines up.

I would think the suspension on the turbo model is not the same as the N/T. I have ridden in my boys 99 GS, doesn't handle the same as my GST.

In my 99 gs eclipse it says 16 valve. Is it a 2.4 or 2.0
Welcome to the board.
You have a 2.0 dodge motor similar to the dodge neon. 30+ years of knowledge and research are here.

I suggest starting here.
