Were is the Ecu is located?

Hello guys. I am not the best guy with computers. My biggest issue is I have searched the forums and online. It is almost like people just jump to give false awnsers to make themselves look good. My question is where is the ECU located? I got by the fuse box. Well the 1998 gs has 2 fuse box locations one under the hood and one by the foot pedals. One person said under the center console. That was way dam to false that is a unit that controls the airbag. That dumB SOB could of killed my azz. seriously if I did not look into that the air bag could of flew me threw the back window or broke my neck from the angle. Another guy said behind the glove box. glove box seriosly the glove box? One person mentioned behind the radio. That one seems the most plausible I found a box that looks like the ecu online picture wise. with a company called DENSO. but still I fear it is not it. Also if it were under my hood is it by the TCU? just who ever helps me out thank you SFM. This forums is by far the best.

On your n/t it is behind the fuse block which is behind the drivers headlight

it is under the center counsel on the 4G63's. open your hood look, look down, see that metal thing with the wire harness going into it on the driver side right behind the head light. that is your ECU

^Do you not see that the OP is N/T. Which means his ecu is in the engine bay.

Is this one. If you car were to be automatic the TCU will be next to the ECU..
The one you say is the TCU is actually the ECU..

I love you guys. FUnny, inteligent and very yet very helpful. YOu guys are smart but more complex questions on the way are coming I am doing a rebuild have all the parts paid for except for the Megasquirt and 3 other ones but once bought. I`ll live my life a quarter mile at a time not my crew and there bull sh1t is going to matter but for that 12 seconds or less I am free.
