Is that possible with a 2g non LSD rear end? I searched but just came up with people welding the center diff. Is there a spool for the rear diff? I just dont think spending $800+ is a great idea for a project car (toy).

Hell I spent a hell of alot more than $800 on my project toy!!!! But if thats what you want sure you can weld it up. But that has to be what you want tho, full locked ALL the time.

ok, what i said, came out wrong... I meant, its hard to spend $800 just on a rear diff that locks up, on this project car. Its not my daily driver, and i want both back wheels to be locked up all the time. Its main uses are some drag racing, and rally type racing. This also is not my 97 talon AWD either... Just another AWD talon that i picked up cheap, and i'm wanting to have fun with it. I'm going to take it to a reputable shop to have them weld it up, but i just wanted to make sure it could be done before i looked like a jackass asking them to do it...
Thanks

You can get a KAAZ rear LSD for about $800 or you can get the complete rear end from a stock GSX equiped a mitsu LSD.

I dont think either is really worth the cash.

If you weld it up let me know how it goes: [email protected]

If you change the rear diff, be aware that a Kaaz/Cusco Evo I/II/III will fit with the OEM non-LSD axles, but swapping to an OEM rear LSD requires both axles to be changed to suit.
