yesterday turned my car on and it idles for like 50 sec then shut off, i added some 87 I had lying around because it said it was empty, try to turn it on and nothing.

today I turn it on it goes on at 2k(its cold) then starts to go crazy like 2k then 750k then back to 2k really fast. So I shut it off and noticed this weird tickin noise when the car was off. I put the keys back in and tried to turn it on but nothing just turned over but wouldn't start. (the keys were still in and I hear that weird tickin sound almost sounds like somethings being grounded so i left the keys in there and went under the hood heard it but didn't see anythin suspicious so idk whats wrong with it. Is it the gas is bad, I think its been sitting there in the shed for a while(someone in my last thread said the gas could have gone bad) yea I just trying to figure out whats wrong, hopfully later this week I can just go to the gas station and get a couple gallons of 93 and toss it in there.. But any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I would get that gas out of there. There is a reason our cars say Premium Gas Only. Old 87 octane is going to cause lots of pinging and knock especially if it is old. I would syphon that gas out of it and get some fresh 92 or 93 octane.

yea well its not the ecu i already had the caps replaced, just in case I took it out and its fine. So yea should I just pull that gas out and try fresh 93? to syfen it do I just get a hose and stick it in there and suck and the stick it in somthing???

but what the hell is that tickin sound? sounds like its coming from under the hood

that ticking sound mayb from bad circuit.
well, let me tell you my story. it may not even be near close to your problem but sounds similar.
my car died out one day driving home and in the middle of the street the car just shut off completely.
i tried to start it back again but sound not turn on or turn over. so i checked everything and heard the clicking and ticking sound when the key was on the ignition (just like yours did. the engine was off too)
later on that day, i found out that the ground was not grounding right, and the negative battery terminal was not conducting enough electrical current.
this might be your problem or may not. just a good place to check.

also about the using 87 octane, it does not matter. i am sure my gas tank door says "Regular Unleaded Only". Mine is 1gen AWD. here in texas, the highest is i believe 90 and lowest is 86. i used to use 86 when i was stock. now running 17 makes me use 90 and massive load of octane booster. i wish i can get 93 though.

also, it could be bad plug from using bad gas. or maybe vacuum.
i am not sure but good place to check

Listen around the fuse box under the hood. I left my lights on one day and the battery went low. I never tracked it down thoroughly, but I can only assume a relay or something was clicking trying to get power to the lights. Just a thought.

I wouldn't go to all the bother of syphoning off the bad gas if you didn't put too much in. Just try and put a couple gallons of premium in and stay off the boost until you burn that crap up.

Thanks guys I will try all this tommorw, but for now I got stuff to do, so I will post back tommorw if everythings good... Thanks
