Weird? Or just another crazy DSM thing...?

I need help, I have a 91 AWD talon. It's my first DSM and something is bothering me. Why do I run about 3500 rpm at 75 mph in 5th gear?! Is this normal? I'm on the highway dieing for a 6th gear.

Its 70 on the expressway, I rarely go over that, usually set the cruise (yes it still works on my 91) at about 67. Its funny, expressways are made to save gas, but I can almost watch as my gas gauge drops crusing at 3400 rpm.

only way to solve that is to rebuild your tranny with different gearing.

My car gets like 25mpg crusing at that speed...I think you need a tune up.

Thank god I live in AZ. Our highways are 75 mph, and were trying to raise them to 85 in some parts!
