I did a search but did not find this problem here...
Anyway, I had a used 420 engine recently installed with good compression. The car runs fantastic...except recently it's been doing this weird thing where if I am going along in say 3rd and slow down then down shift at the appropriate time to 2nd...then start braking and stop without downshifting into 1st...basically leaving it in neutral until it stops...the RPMs will stay at anywhere from 2000 to 1500rpms until the car comes to a complete stop. If the car is in any way rolling..I mean a kid on a trike could be going faster than me, the RPMs will still hover around 1500-2000rpms....until I either stop or go faster, at which point the car drives normally...
