the structure next to JCpenny that has the transit and police outpost on the ground level?

Nah there is another one at the other end of the mall.

You do bring up a good point about the MAF, right now I have it just locked in open loop mode and it seems to run fine, I also am playing around with the MAF Adjustments to lean my idle out a bit from 12.4 to 14.7ish, but there is still that 16-17.6 spot that keeps popping up whenever I give it a little gas, then it goes to 14.7 to 11.3 during WOT and I guess I will have to keep trying to richen that part out.

use the adjustments in the direct access, Its called TipinTPSadj move all of them up 4-8 ticks and that should fix it. Even my car will do that(15.0's). Its just the abrupt air coming through all the sudden which if that doesn't fix it i believe you can toy with the airflow smoothing(might look around on that first though)

Just upped all those values by about 6 ticks, Ill go out and try that out now and let you know how it goes :D

UPDATE: Okay well I did that, and it seemed a bit worse than what it was before. I bumped them back down a few notches so each has an increase of about +4, I am tired so Ill see how that works tomorrow. I have also been playing with the air smoothing and brought the idle smoothing down to about 33% since my 3" GM MAF is right before my throttle body, and also increased all my values a bit. Here is what they look like now:

Idle Airflow Smoothing Factor
33.2%

post a log and i will take a look at it. Get some closed loop driving and a 60sec idle, try to get the problem area too. I'll see what i can do.

Ill have to post it up tomorrow as I am low on gas and am going to go to Costco tomorrow morning, so Ill post up a log after I gas up in the morning. Right now I have it so I am running an Evo 1-3 Open Loop Min/Max Octane map as well as Evo 1-3 Timing Min/Max Octane maps. For getting it to run smoothly for right now, I have it so I am locked in Open Loop Mode, the front O2 voltage is locked at 0.51v (for some reason my O2 Sensor, once warmed up, registers 5.00v all the time). Ill post up what I basically have now and a log I took earlier this evening.

WTF You need some major tuning help LOL, next time we meet up i can help you get a base tune if i have the time.

EDIT: bring your laptop also

Your definitely right about that, as of right now it runs like a champ and pulls hard, but that's probably because its running solely on preset maps and does not reference any of my sensors :p I would really appreciate it if you could help me get a base tune, Ill even throw you some $ for your time.

Oh an my O2 sensor pegging out at 5.00v when warmed up, its a brand new Denso with 1200 miles total on it, could it already be bad?

do this for me real quick, go plug into your car and go into your ecu config and enable tps adjustments under the RPM tab. once done start a log(Engine OFF) press the gas pedal to the floor let it back up all the way then do it again. Once done right click anywhere in the log screen and select TPS adjust and comply with the information it will tell you. once done save that adjustment.

EDIT: do you have a wideband? The reason your o2 is not cycling is because you are in OPEN LOOP Sorry i forgot you mentioned that.

Okay well I did that and I dont think it worked sadly because after a short spin around the block my Front O2 is maxed out at 5.00v.

Here is a log from the run. Here are all the settings as of right now. The car runs like crap now LOL. So I think in the morning I am going to switch back to the open loop lock so I can have a smooth running car :p

EDIT: I do have a wideband, but its just a Glowshift Wideband O2 so I don't think I can directly have that appear in my logs. And that spin around the block I took it out of OPEN LOOP and unlocked the O2 voltage and basically made the computer try and run with the sensors feeding information to the ECU.

Your running like garbage because all your numbers are coming from a loony bin. You need a base tune badly and a wideband. I can help you install and calibrate it if you get one.

Edit: you need a Supported wideband

It will be next to impossible to tune your car for open loop primarily with no loggable WB, plus you are wasting time with a NB when you can just install the WB in the factory o2 spot and simulate its normal function IMO.

Read my edit above.

Damn well until I get some extra cash for an Innovate Wideband O2 kit I guess I will stick to running with my current setup. I mean it works and everything runs smooth so in the meantime Ill stick with that, but the new wideband will be the first thing on my buy list.

And as far as putting a wideband in the factory O2 spot, Ive heard many people kill the sensors because it is too close to the exhaust, which is why they put it roughly 36" away from the front O2 spot.

Many discussions on that but its just a bunch of false facts.
Many people including me, and guys from ecmtuning do it and have no issues. Its fine to run it there.

Well thats good to know! Im ticked that I can't directly use my existing wideband, but I am going to look at the brain of it tomorrow to see if it has a datalogger output, and if it does I should be able to log it somehow.

linearitems [ECMTuning - wiki]
^Another option if you are dead set on using the glowshift (glowshift makes a wideband?) wideband... ECM link has the ability to let the user define his own sensor for logging if it is a linear sensor. AEM actually provides a table of linear values for each gauge they produce so you can actually define your specific gauge with their data to get an even more accurate recording of your specific gauge. The ECM link guys are just nice enough to establish a bunch of pre-defined gauge setups.

On the flip side I think Austin has a point, you may want to consider going to a different wideband. FWIW I am NOT a fan of the Innovative Widebands as they require calibration and tend to be a pain in the ass to calibrate every time something goes wrong with them... One of the biggest reasons I chose my AEM was because they use a fixed, "pre-calibrated", setup which is essentially a calibration medium installed in the gauge so it can reference the same exact calibration medium, everytime it calibrates itself. But hell take what I say with a grain of salt, its just food for thought.

I have heard good things about the MTX-L, I use the AEM UEGO it takes just minor easy calibration.

Okay I found out the cause of my Front O2 pegging out at 5.00v - incorrect wiring, so I got it straightened out and now it fluctuates as it should and does not exceed 1.10v :) I am going to take it out in a little bit and just cruise and see how it acts.

Good deal man! LMK if you are gunna cruise down this way at all.. I could use a break from work and a cruise would be fun... gotta get them before it gets shitty out again!

Im at 122 and Foster, just off of I-205, just east of I-205 at the Foster exit if you don't know the numbered streets (I sure the hell don't).

Meh, doesn't really matter to me, Id just join you for a bit wherever you wanted to run your car to put it through some good paces. There are some decent roads back here but I couldn't tell you how traffic will be. It gets country quick if you head east from my house towards boring, so I would expect it wouldn't be too busy.

Id be down to run down I205 a ways and run back up, whatever you wanna do, Im jus tagging along after all!
