My wife was deathly afraid and opposed to guns, due to an ex meeting Darwin with one, until she was educated about them, allowed to hold one, fire one, and eventually pick "our" first gun. Now, that's her S&W.

Ummm she thinks I'm crazy, so that's why I'm not allowed to have guns..But she has no problem going out to buddy's houses and shooting a few rounds out of their guns..I'm actually suprised, she liked shooting my cousins ar15..ANd he just got an ak/fal hybrid..I'm not sure what the hell it's actually called, but I'm excited to shoot it when the weather warms up..

I really wish I Knew what it was called..I do know he only paid 750 for it, with a hard case, 5 magazines, a grip i think, and some kinda scope..Lemmie text him and see whats its called..

Guess I'll stoke this thread's embers. I got a nice collection going, although I don't get to shoot them as much since I moved to the city.

I got a Yugoslav SKS, Thompson style 1927-A5 (w/50 round drum), Remington 870 beater shotgun, and a half dozen .22s.

so 8 months later time to add to the collection since the car build is almost done.

just went to the gun store and picked up a colt 1911 rail gun and a springfield trp operator in armorkote with the 1/2 rail as a new carry gun.

I finally saved up enough to buy my Benelli M1 a couple months ago. I effin love this thing.

And I put a red dot sight and mount on my Glock. I picked up lots of speed and some accuracey with it. But it was a cheapy sight of didn't last long. Time to get a nice one now that I know I like it.

yeah with red dot you really do get what you paid for.

one in the $150-200+ price range will be milspec and the battery will last 4000-8000 hours vs 4 hours for the 30 buck walmart bb gun red dot

Yeah, that seems to apply to any optics.

I was affraid to buy a $300 one and then not like it. Figured it was worth it to waste $30 to help me make my decision to purchase a good one.

so true. using a red dot or an eotech holographic sight is love/hate i have one but i prefer the iron sights for competition

I use iron sights for competing too, but only because it's a practical match and optics aren't allowed. I'd use it if I could though. It was fun practicing speed shooting with it. I was twice as quick shooting at twice the distance.

what do you normally shoot gun wise in comp?

i used to shoot a racegun eaa witness which was a cz75 single action 9mm target modle.

no im getting more into 1911 style handguns.

i have 2 series 70 colt gold cups
a series 80 commander

and i just got the colt rail gun and a springfield armory trp

next i think a colt 1911 style in 38 super

Accurate as all hell. I have a 7.62mm for the long distance stuff. This one is for closer in, hence the EOTech.

Looks to be like a 556 to me... I held one the other day at the gun show. Along with an ACR. Both incredibly light and incredibly expensive!

Edit: Sorry! Didn't see that there was the "right" bullpup. But I was referring to the FS2000 which looks to be a 5.56 and the one you were speaking of does look to be a .308.

Has anyone shot an ar-15 with an ar-57 upper? I'm interested in building one and I don't know if I want to stay with 556 or go with the ar-57's FNH 5.7 round. I also like the style of it, looks good.

One bullpup is the FS2000 (5.56) with an AWC Raider Titanium Suppressor
The other one (on the right) is the rare Kel-Tec RFB (.308), with a surefire 308 suppressor
