Welcome back, Mike. :)

Frag ammo for daily carry? You an air marshall or something? :p

Everyone wants a USP Match. LOL I saved up a bunch of money for one at one point, but I couldn't find one for sale before I spent it on something else.

Not an air marshall but I usually don't miss. And being .45 acp I'd rather only hit what I'm shooting at and not anyone or anything behind it.

Besides its lightweight and high speed. My .45 feels like a .9mm when firing it.

Look up RBCD vs JHP and you'll see why I carry rbcd over hollow points.

How much do the rbcd rounds cost compared to jhp?

Expensive. Damn near $2 a pop for RBCD. Not knocking hollow points though my extra magazine is usually those. I figure if I end up needing it I could obviously use more weight/penetration. :hellyeah:

It would be nice to have those for inside the house

granted I do like to buy good pieces for the collection but even "cheap" guns are $$$

Yeah, no shit. Especially in the socialist republic of Illinois. I was looking at .380s the other day, just as something I can tuck into my shirt pocket when inspecting busted inner-city real estate deals, but hell.... I could get a nice S&W .40 or even a used Glock for the same price...

I've got a few guns... recently bought a full frame Springfield 1911...probably looking at a RRA AR-15 once I get my tax return back...

Beretta PX4 Storm .9mm
Ruger LCR .38
Remington 870 Express Tactical
Ruger Mark III .22

The good stuff is up north out of the reach of the liberals of this state...

Just recently sold my everyday carry gun. springfield 1911 champion. I concealed carried it every day and loved it. Im now back on my feet a little and still have my concealed carry permit. What would be a good gun simmilar to a full size 1911. or just a great carry gun. i used to carry a sig sp2022 9mm but advanced to the .45.. Im searching for something i can carry everyday.

Round 2: Custom built, M&P15 lower w/DPMS parts kit, 16" Olympic upper, CAA stock, A.R.M.S flip-up rear sight, Trijicon ACOG 1.5 power w/amber chevron, and what is supposed to be "urban digital camo" DuraCoat finish but I think that part came out kinda crappy so it will eventually be redone by BearCoat Products

if i was going to CC i would carry a glock 27 or 26, with the extended mag of course, or a springfeild v10(1911)

i currently have a rem. 597
my dad has to many guns......

Round 3: Armalite Super S.A.S.S. 7.62x51 NATO with Bushnell Elite 3200 Tactical scope, Harris bi-pod, AAC Blackout threaded muzzle break for AAC 7.62SD suppressor. I keep it fed with hand loaded Sierra Match King 168gr HPBT rounds.

My roommate carries a 27, and he loves it. It's a bit too small for my hand, so I carry the compact version (23). I agree though, they're both fantastic carry options.

My 23 fits like a glove in the center counsel of my 2G, along with a spare 22-rd mag.

i have a glock 23 and a 27 i actually prefer the 27 for everything. once your used to it you dont even notice the grip anymore. If you think about it how much gripping force does your pinky have. Alot of that is all in your mind because you dont know where to put it since your trained to use it.

Yeah, you're probably right. I could probably learn to shoot the 27 just as well as the 23. But I do have large hands, and the 23 barely fits me comfortably. And I do still prefer the slightly greater capacity and longer barrel of the 23 too. I rarely even shoot my 23 without the 4.9" barrel anymore.

So has anyone seen the new Keltec KSG. If not google it. It's BAD. I certainly want one.

Yes!! I saw a video of one being demonstrated recently at the Shot Show. It looks promising. The only thing that would make it better was if it was semi-auto. But I understand the complications that would have to overcome with the dual feed tubes and whatnot. Still, I'd love to shoot one.

That's a good looking rifle, how does it shoot with the 168gr SMKs?

I use the 175's myself for my bolt action 1K rifle.

Yeah, semi-auto would be awesome. I'd even pay more for it if it was semi. But 14+1 capacity in a shot gun it pretty cool. I would talk myself into thinking I needed one. When would I ever really use it? Well I guess it just depends on when the zombies start their attack. I haven't fired any of keltec's long guns but I have owned some of the handguns, and yes while they are a good price they suffered in quality IMO. We'll see if this shotgun is better.

im 6'3" tall so i know about having large hands and how wierd it felt at first with the 27. the back up mag i carry is my glock 23 hi cap with +1 extender on it. I figure is shit goes bad and i have to reload at least this way i have more and the extra mag out the bottom of the grip is irrelevant at that point

What is everyone's thoughts on black powder? I'm looking in specifics advise on fun to shoot and trade in/resale just in case I don't like it. Anyway, I have a potental trade worked out for a stainless ruger old army in 45 or a blued ruger old army in 45 and a euroarms repoduction of a remington in 44 for a stainless ruger p90. I've asked some gun shops around me and their responces are 50/50.

I'm extremely happy with it so far. The most challenging targets I've worked on so far were 1/2 size silhouettes @ 200yds. That wasn't much of a challenge though. I need to take a trip to eastern Oregon where I can shoot longer distances. I want to get some practice in @ 600yds with this setup then I'd like to switch to a Leupold MKIV and the 175gr SMK's to see how this rifle does from 600-1000yds.

messy, but fun to shoot. i used to do some black powder comatitions and most were at 7 yards and then at 20 yards. the inaccuracy will amaze you but if you learn to load for that gun they can shoot ok. but you will have an awesome time with it.

i used a .44 cal new army.

if your going to get one to shoot get a stainless steel model. after using it you take the grips off and put it thru the dishwasher then blow it out with a air compressor. otherwise you will spend about an hour cleaning it everytime you shoot it
