ECMLink V3 - ECU repaired by ECMTuning and sent back. they found half the ECU was "dead"
FIC1220CC injectors sent back to FIC / cleaned tested fine and returned
I custom built my own engine harness while all this was going on.
Brand new CAS (installed before the problems)
^that is what Ive done since the original problem
Where do I Start? A few years back my car would randomly run PIG rich and flood the motor. Mr Jewer was my tuner but his tune was on point, he reviewed it and saw the issue but it wasnt from the tune or anything he c could reason in the logs and it was determined that the ECU was "probably at fault" per ECMTuning.
For a while i was able to gas pedal my way out of the pig rich situation after a few seconds, but eventually in traffic my motor succumbed to the overlfow of fuel and locked up my motor. After a tow ride home and few more start attempts, i drain the oil and its 5 quarts oil and probably half gallon or more of fuel! That's when i sent the parts out above to get fixed/tested and built my own harness. I have not cracked open the oil pan. i just push fresh oil and filter in it and when it was time to try to crank it, the fresh oil was going to "flush" the motor.
My Cyl walls and bearings are probably wiped clean but i dont have the energy to pull the pan and check the bearings anytime soon. Not after my 3rd motor in 4 years and me moving into ultra running.
Now, the car will turn over, with all parts back and new harness complete , but with the occasional low grade "pop" and even more rare loud BANG from a build up of fuel. But most of the time, it cranks and cranks and cranks, cranking slows down when it fills with fuel and then speeds up when the fuel clears out of the chambers... or so it sounds.
Also, Starting fluid will not start the car either. Just makes it sounds like im shooting Tannerite in my Garage.
I've swapped coil packs and no dice, I bought another coil pack and Power transistor to try out, Ive swapped CAS 180 out and back again just in case. I've traced all my wiring and as far as i can tell the wires are appropriately run using 2 different diagrams found online.
Im Stumped. even it it was a compression problem with the cylinder walls, i should still get it run, albeit roughly, right?
Pictured is the fuel in Cyl 4 when i finally discovered the problem-- yes thats to the top of the spark plug threads
