Need to install a new pcv. Old one not there and no vacuum line.

Question: where in the hell does the vacuum line connect on the intake manifold?

I have a 1st gen intake manifold on 2G engine.

Any pics would be great!!!!

Thanks a million. found it easily. but some schmuck has replaced the nipple with a screw.

You should really look into running a catch can/check-valve reroute as the pcv valve is junk to begin with and can't really hold boost well.. especially autozones crap let me know if you need help with this as I just did it to my car and it works well

That's no good. You should get that fixed and hook up the line as it's not good to run with no PCV valve. And as the person above stated, you could look into getting a catch can, but that's for a different thread. If this is something that interests you, search the forums as there are numerous threads about this topic.

Yea, I got schooled about this situation last week at a car meet. When we installed the motor etc. we just overlooked this. Kind of stupid. For now I'm going to run the stock set up just to have it. a buddy was out the junk yard when I called him and he just happen to be standing next to a 1st gen, so he's grabbing the nipple for the intake.

I do have the greddy catch can - there's just no place to mount it without relocating the battery. If you know any threads about this that shows good pics, let me know.

Once again, the guys on this forum really help a guy out.

Don't use Autozone/Carquest/etc PCV valves, as they aren't the correct valve. Get OEM unless you're going with the check valve setup. The non-OEM ones will leak out of the box, and this is a boost leak. There is a very long but very informative thread on the check valve setup called "Stupid PCV question" posted by FORMONTOYA I believe. A catch can is not essential (but will keep oil out of your IM). The big thing is to get the PCV system functioning again, and you need a PCV valve hooked to the IM for that.
