Sorry this seems to me like a stupid question but here goes anyways.......is it normal when going over 100 mph or somewhere about and you brake that the car vibrates? are my brakes just going out? thanks

you need to do a brake job
what happens is the rotars get warped due to heat and cool
you can just get the rotors cut and new pads
i get mine cut at auto zone $6 ea takes 1 hour

What he said. :)

The main reason that your rotors are warped, im assuming, is because you keep braking at 100+ MPH. When your driving, the rotors are fairly cool, but when you slam on the stopping power, they heat up. Constant cycling of hot / cold warps them. Braking at higher speeds will just cause your rotors to warp far sooner than normal driving would, and worse for the most part. I just coast if I am going fast. :)

well i wouldnt say i was slamming on the brakes i was coasting then downshifting then i started braking, i would brake gently let off then apply the brakes again, i thought that doing that helped against overheating the brakes by allowing air to circulate and cool the rotors down some, please correct me if i'm wrong, either way thanks for the info. :thumb:

side note:
since right now my brakes are stock should i look into a brake upgrade or should i just put performance pads, and some steel braided hose lines? thankx

thanks, so is there anywhere that you woukd recommend i get these parts and how should i expect to pay?

UUMMM when does ABS kick in????
I'm not sure if this was asked sarcastically or not but I'll answer it as if it were a genuine question.

ABS is Anti-Lock Braking System. Each wheel or axle assembly on some RWD vehicles will have a sensor and a tone ring for the ABS. All four wheels are measured and when one wheel starts to spin slower or if it stops spinning while the other wheels continue to spin then the ABS pump actuates. When the ABS pump actuates, it applies and releases brake fluid pressure, instead of your brake pedal applying the pressure, in order to grab and release the the caliper for the wheel that has stopped spinning.

The desired affect for ABS is NOT that it stops you in a smaller distance nor does it prevent you from smacking in to someone. ABS is designed to return control back to the driver instead of the wheels being locked up and the driver at the mercy of the weight of the vehicle sliding. The ABS system is supposed to help let the driver control the vehicle by slowing down without locking up the wheels as well as providing both braking AND steering controls in the event of a panic stop.

The pulsation felt from warped rotors may feel like an ABS but they are two totally different conditions that just happen to deal with a similar system.

All you would need to upgrade would be some AWD front calipers and some powerslot rotors to fit and AWD.

Second that, one of the best mods I've done for my car. :thumb:
