stupid brakes...

well i can only guess it's my brakes. whenever i apply the brakes lightly, at any speed, i head a ticking noise coming from what i think is the right wheel. now if i apply more pressure to the brake, the noise stops, but as soon as i let up a little, it makes the noise again. any ideas?

How much meat is left on the pads? Are you just getting to the wear indicators?

Other guesses: loose dust shield, loose lug nut, ABS sensor misalignment, excessive wheel bearing clearance.

I agree with the loose parts idea..........I heard a similar noise from my front and it was the brake dust shield rubbing against the back of the rotor. I took the rotor off and ripped off the dust shield and solved the problem.........Just take off the wheel and inspect all the moving parts in that area. Look for something thats had metal to metal contact or a section or piece that looks like its been rubbing on something

I had a small crack in one of my rotors once it made the same noises. Inspect both sides of the rotor carefully. If there is a crack thats making noise, you'll see it.
