Water pump gasket

Im currently doing a water pump on my gsx because it was leaking coolant and i was wondering what sealant you guys use for the water pump gasket.

Just the gasket by itself is all I have ever used. I don't think you'd want to use rtv, or anything like that on it.

just make sure the gasket surfaces are clean. The guy before the guy I bought it(my car) had the damn thing only RTV'd on.... that didn't last long.... But now shes perfectly fine with an actual gasket on it.... Good luck

Thanks for all the quick responses. Was about to use blue rtv for water pump gaskets but not anymore.
