Hey folks, back with another question concerning my porsche and an HX35. The stock twin scroll holset hotside will not fit my car unless I punch a hole in the block, and no shop around here will machine a garrett hotside to fit a holset. I'm going to need to get a hold of a BEP housing for an HX35 turbine. I understand these are available in both .55 and .70 A/R, is that right? Most sites I see selling these hotsides dont specify or give me any options, so which am I getting? Also, are all the T3 inlet hotsides specced with a 3" Vband outlet, or can they be had with a standard 4 bolt t3 outlet (3" preferably)? I'm all down for Vband since I'll be fabbing new up and down pipes, but I'm afraid I'll have trouble finding the right flange and vband clamp for a true 3" downpipe (which is absolutely required, I'm expecting well over 500 rwhp from a fully built 3 liter DOHC road race engine). I'm also thinking long term, if I later decide I want to run something that isnt a holset, I'd like to not have to buy another hotside or fab new exhaust, especially when garret and BW vBand hotsides seem to usually be for 2.5" Vbands, and most hotsides I see that are 3" are 4 bolt outlet. What should I do, you guys here have way more experience with the holset stuff than any Porsche owner.

If the 12cm2 housing won't fit, neither will the .70 BEP housing. They're huge.

You may be interested in the .55 T3 housing that Bullseye once offered- if you're lucky enough to find one. These haven't been in production since the 2006-2007 era.

The T3 will definitely clear, the 12cm is close and people run .82 T3 and even .58 T4 hotsides all the time on my car, sometimes dual scroll, so as long as its smaller than a T4 it should be ok. Would it be possible for someone to post dimensions of the .70 T3, or even better a pic with the BEP next to a holset 12cm? A .55 hotside is simply way too small for the kind of air im going to be moving with a big valve DOHC 3 liter revving to 7500 rpm with an HX40 super compressor.

Perhaps I'm a bit confused- either it fits or it doesn't.

If a 12cm2 T3 Holset housing hits the block, I don't think there's any way a BEP .70 T3 housing is fitting.

That actually looks perfect, its much smaller in the one dimension that matters, which is thickness from the CHRA to the opposite edge of the T-housing, not including the v-band. Thanks a bunch that DEFINITELY looks like it will clear, like i said the 12cm almost fits and people run much larger garrett housings all the time.

to be sure, can you take another shot more direct, side view of the turbo so I can see how thick it is overall? If this isnt making sense to you its probably because you are unfamiliar with how the turbo mounts on my car, as far as i know there isnt another production car with a turbo setup like what porsche gave my car.

edit: I realized what it is now, the BEP is big yeah but it doesnt have all that extra size from the internal wastegate, fine since I'm running a TiAl 40mm DP. I am totally confident it will fit, its smaller in all the important dimensions
