Well ive been into dsm's but this is my first 4g63t I previously had a 420a eclipse so im still learning I want my car to be at the 400hp to 500hp range and was hoping to get advice and part names and stuff to acomplish the hp any help is good thanks this is the parts the car has as in upgrades and stuff
greddy fmic
3in exhaust pipe with a greddy muffler
greddy bov
aem wide band not connected yet
greddy boost control ned new one :/ not working a the moment
560cc fuel injectors
apexi s-afc-II super air converter
hks turbo timer
2gauge pillar for boost and for pyrometer both phantom II
J intake pipe
255 walbro fuel pump
Jvc radiator
Ive dona basic maitnance new starter from oreileis, timing belt ,water pump ,power steering pump, belts, hoses, head rebuilt no upgrades on head just new valves and stuff, new gaskets, bosch spark plugs acdelco 8mm spark plug wires turbo is stock
For those who took their time to read this and help me I apreciate the help and comments thanks guys!!!! :hellyeah:

I have no idea. I never messed with a 4g. I blew up a 420, I'm sure someone will come along with an answer.

But IMHO you are going to need a bigger turbo to get the numbers you are looking for. Possibly 18/20g. Im pretty sure your going to be looking at building the internals as well.

I think the stock replacements may do fine, just close the gap a little at that power level.

Yes I was thinking on the 20g and what gap will I need to close???
Also as for internals I need help in that I was maybe looking towards the 2.3 stoker good/bad I read stroking it is for more torque?
& for cams are stock ok or will I need 272/280??
I really need help I love my car and plan to always have it haha but I need to learn more so I need lots of help as much as possible for who ever can help me

Stroking it will give you more bottom end as well as quicker spool. As far a DD goes its a win win. I believe the 4g gaP is .028.

Personally i feel that you power goals are high for a fwd. traction will be a major issue, but back on topic...

For cams i would go with a 264/272 setup. The stroker kits are unable to spin as fast as a 2L.

Nice nice
And I never tought about the traction issues :/ it may be a big problem!
sounds like this would be easy as in for the engine part I believe I will need some kind of upgraded studs???
Whats the valve angle job for??
Upgraded springs valves guides?
Upgraded intake manifold?
upgraded Fuel rail?
those where the only things I had in mind as for in upgrades as far as I know
I dont know what else would I be missing????

Glad to see you did your maintanence first....also try searching on here, look at the dyno challenge on here to look at the mods on the cars making that power range... that should give you a good idea of what has been done.

400- 500 hp is a big window.... you could hit 400 with just a stock motor and a big 16g with the proper fuel and tuning.... for 500hp its gonna be a little tougher, you will need a turbo that flows in the 50lb/min range. It will require at the least .....a good fuel system, a GOOD intercooler, some ARP head studs and a good head gasket, and lots of tuning.... maybe cams. A good set of rods and pistons or atleast a good rebuild to ensure reliabilty wouldent hurt... not to mention driveline parts to hold that power like a heavy clutch and a good transmission

.......do lots of reading and reserch.......;)

A valve agle job is the cutting of the valve and valve seat to ensure anpropper seal. The more angles the better the flow but the difference in small.

Deffinately would require arp head studs. As well as new stronger forged internals. Pistons rods and all that.

Your intake manifold and your fuel rail should be sufficient. Not required but the stock 4g rail is pretty big if i do remember correctly.

you'll need to ditch these injetors and AFC for bigger inj's and better management like ECMlink

560cc fuel injectors
apexi s-afc-II super air converter

also, pick a good turbo, the stock internals can go 400-450 easily and reliably on a 6 bolt engine so if you dont' have one in htere already look to swapping to one not only for the added power handling but for the lack of crankwalk problems that may arise.

most the other info seems right on to me.. maybe a 50 trim instead of a mitsu turbo since they all just jumped way up in price

264/272 cams are good but having been there, done that and looked back on my daily ndriver i would say go 272/272, no loss shown on dyno recenlty between them and the 272 combo held a lot more power longer

injectors go to 1000's and have plenty of room and even room to do it on e85 if you want which is IMO the best fuel out there for 2.80 a gallon and acts like 15 doillar a galloon leaded q16

there's a lot of little things you'll figure out, leanr, wallas to run into and so forth on the wya to "really" making 450-500hp to the wheels

i have reliably made 438/396tq on my last 57 trim when it was worn out on the coimpressor wheel, and to be honest it tool a long time to get frim 300hp to 438, it's all in the details and those were both on the same turbo.

just read other peoples stats in their profiule who make the power yhou want to make, PM them, read other threads and you'll learn and get there eventually

Ah yesss reading my old nemesis haha still its interesting reading and doing research sooner or later ill be in a reliable car after researches.
and yes I forgot as for head gasket I believe I saw a metal sheet or copper one out there if there is good or bad?
Umm I was told to ditch the apexy air converter and turbo timer for a dsm link what would be better emclink?
Yeah I have no swap it is the 7bolt :/ was planing on getting the 6bolt on the side and build it while I run the 7bolt probably ill be doing that.
I was reading about the turbos going up in price alot :/ ill be looking around
And thanks for the help guys never tought of reading and searching on other ppls cars haha I got lots of homework to do probably buy books for tuning and upgrading and turbos ha This is gona be a long term built

A valve agle job is the cutting of the valve and valve seat to ensure anpropper seal. The more angles the better the flow but the difference in small.

In going to have to correct you on paragraph two! It is not required for his goals to have all forged internals! The stock bottom end in the 4g63 is a beast. Would it be safer with forged internals? Of course, but it has been proven time and time again that it is not required.

Hmm I agree on what supremedsm said I have read that quite a alot of ppl running on high power with stock bottom end in the 4g63 would be safer tough to put forged internals not a must but for safety haha im guessing for 7bolt would be better to do it or would it be the same and crank walk if its going to

Crank walk is over rated! Grab yourself a nice stock 6 bolt bottom end and a built head and call it a day!

But as op stated above he was considering a 2.3 kit. So there is the internals. Me personally, i eouldnt push that kind of power on a stock motor. But then again I take comfort in not pushing an engine to its limits. Well, not any more. My ol' 420 was the last one.

So in my 2nd paragraph feel free to replace "require" with "recomend like not stabbin yourself in the eye with a mechanical pencil kinda way,"

Id really love a 2.3 stroker kit haha ill see what happens depending on money going 6bolt or just build the 7bolt and use it till it lasts
I love how this one white colored 2g with a stroker kit on youtube sounds that video is my motivator along with the 1g racing with bikes
