I've had this problem for about two years now, but due to other more pressing matters like having to get a whole new chassis and then may gauges dying, I have never had a chance to really look into this until now. Attached is a log of the issue. I'm at WOT in 2nd and a little in 3rd, and it starts breaking up just under 4k, as usual. I already checked to make sure that it's not knock retard. I can see that airflow as seen by the MAF drops off at this time for some reason but boost does not. It leans out, going from 10.5 AFR to 11.8 (the factory tune at that point dictates 9.5).
When this started, it was one or two hiccups around 4k and didn't really get much worse until the engine sat in the old chassis for a few months.
I have closed the gap in my plugs a little with no improvement. The plugs were an orangy white with some buildup. Plug wires are NGK I believe. Both coils have been replaced recently. TPS has been replaced. CAS and CPS are OEM replacements.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? This is frustrating me beyond belief![DOUBLEPOST=1408332218][/DOUBLEPOST]Despite me checking my plug gaps on a fairly regular basis, two of them needed adjustment. Cylinder 4 was greater than 050. So all is well again. I'll be switching to BPR7ES since I'm now running >20 psi of boost and hopefully I will keep up with the gap this time.
