Brian,i made a log with methanol and water wetter. I don't know why,but im having some knock What do you think? i doubt its couse of the afr being a bit on a lean side....

I agree that it shouldn't be AFR related.

When does the meth start injecting, and is it a progressive increase or just on/off?

Also, did you notice anything odd happen with the car from 7.099 sec. on? Just wondering why all of the sudden things start going a bit crazy.

Ok.. The methanol starts injecting at 12 psi and it jets fully at 19 psi. What i could think of is something related to the boost. Just look at my boostest at the point where things are getting crazy. Could it be a boost creep due small wastegate? When you look at the log, boost builds smooth along the rpm range ,but from 6.860 the boost goes all over the place even spikes to 30 ,where my seted boost is 25 psi

what else it could be??? boost creep is the thing ,that comes to my mind. You felt how the car was performing at high rpms. Could it be some boost leak ? because when i did blt, nothing showed up . I pushed 20 psi through the system.

And thats the point ,where things starts goin crazy,im starting to have knock......

Ok Here are two logs:

first: spark plugs gaped to .23 and 26 psi (as it was before)
second: lowered the boost to 23 psi
With lower boost car went smooth with no sputtering.......
Brian, why when i lower the boost, the AfratioEst not matching up the wideband anymore???

When you change your boost, you have to tell the computer what airflow adjustments to make since it won't be the same at the initial boost level. This is normal.

I would start doing some research on what can cause boost creep, as you have it.

I'm also baffled at how you're getting knock with meth injection.

Both of the logs look much smoother than the one above in post #51. Coolant temps look good and timing seems to be tracking where it should. Airflow could use adjusted a bit, but I think the creep and knock issues need to be addressed first.

But hey, look from the other side, I was watching my boost gauge, and it wasn't jumping around ,it was staying steady t 23 psi. im leaning towards the ignition problem. When i reduced the spark plug gap,the car went a bit better....

Based on what I can tell, I would drop the boost and get the AFR's lined up without the meth. I don't know how much that is contributing, but it looks to me like your airflow is all over the place. Without a MAP sensor to compare to, it's tough to tell for sure... but considering you were at 23 psi (max?), BoostEst looks really strange; it just keeps climbing and I don't see the expected breakpoint where engine VE would normally start to taper off.

BTW - Are you sure your Wideband is reading correctly and there are no exhaust leaks?

yeah, the WB readings are correct. No boost or exhaust leaks. Brian was tuning my car (idle cruise, some of the wot pulls) He might be more helpful about the logs.We had AfRatioEst and WB readings matched up along entire 3rd gear pull. But the car acted weird even with the afr aligned up without methanol.

Ok, lowered the boost to 18psi. (lower, because i wanted to get my afratioest to match the wb readings without messing something up).Today after the half day of a reading about the airflow adjustments ,i tried on my own. After 4 wot pulls i finally made it,and now i know how to do it!!!! Taa-daaaa..... Thanks Brian for the link ,that you gave me ,it was a good writeup. Here is my log With matched afratioest and wb readings. Plus i switched the timing map from evo8 to 2g stock. No more knock.Car pulls great . Ready to turn up the boost, and will start to go Big.....

Yes, they do look low towards the end. I would follow the advice Dave posted on your thread in the link forums and zero all sliders from 500 Hz up and see how that works. A 2g MAF shouldn't require that much negative airflow compensation.

But then how should i match my boostest to actual boost and afratioest to wb readings??? is it at least possible?? if not, then which one i need to follow???

Ok,Today i was messing with the mafcomp sliders to match my actual and Boostest readings... after some adjustments,my actual boost and BoostEst finally matching up from 4800 to 6300 rpm's,but now, actual afr doesn't match the AfRatioEst?? When i try to match the AfRatioEst and my wb readings, then my actual boost mismatching the BoostEst Where is the problem?? or im doing something wrong??
