So I ordered a valve cover from performance partout and when it got here I noticed it was missing the valve cover breather nipple. I'm not trying to give the guys from performance paratout any heat, I probably just didn't pay close enough attention to the photos. Regardless, I ordered this to replace my current valve cover that I cracked where the pcv valve goes in, but I'm not exactly sure what to do with this. I'm a college student living in an apartment so any sort of fabrication is out of the question for me. I already have to leave all my tools in one of my two cars (and having two is already a problem in and of itself), so if it isn't anything that can be done with mostly basic tools I probably can't do it, and my toolbox is already pretty full. I'm just wondering what my options are at this point. I know the normal solution here would just be to go for a catch can but I don't know how I'd do that without the nipple. Do I just need to bite the bullet and buy a brand new one from extremePSI or is there some other feasible option I have?

Why not put up a WTB ad for a Valve Cover Breather nipple, I bet someone has one. They just press in. :)

I didn't realize they just press in, in that case could I try and take the nipple from my old valve cover? Would I just use some RTV ultra black to seal it in?

MD102444 is the part number for the nipple, and it's listed as an 8mm diameter nipple. Marty is right, it should just press in, although you might try some high temp RTV just around the edge and clean off the old solidified black gunk that's seen in your pics.

That was my first question. Why aren't you just using your old one? They come out easy in my experience.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I feel a little silly not knowing the breather nipple was not actually molded into the valve cover itself, but I guess you learn something new everyday. I'll probably just reuse the nipple from my old valve cover then now that I have this newfound knowledge.
