ive got a bottle of nos octane booster in the tank as well.
Some people say its BS, but it definitely does help 91 octane, even if it only makes it 93-94 octane, i'll take it!!!

like posted above, im running 91 octane with a bottle of octane booster.

It definitely helps out 91 octane. I probably would be knocking at 16* if i didnt have the bottle in there. But when this tank is done i'll be strictly on 100 octane. :thumb:

Little update.

Finally made a dyno appt. for next wednesday, the 27th.

I filled the car up with 100 octane. Ive got another 15 gal sitting in my garage waiting to go in.

So, ive been running around on the 100 octane, ive made no changes to the tune, but i turned up the boost a wee bit to 22psi. I know the car can be making a lot more power with a fine tune, thats why its going to the dyno.

My clutch is about done... if i launch and grab 2nd, it slips or burns, so im planning on doing the dyno then probably putting in a new clutch the next week.

So lately, ive been getting a slight misfire, and today it got worse. So i pulled the plugs and in the process i did a compression test. for 4-3-2-1 i got 180-173-176-174. The plug from #4 had some oil on it. With a flashlight looking in the cyl they were all dry. The threads of where the spark plug threads in had a bit of oil on it as well. I didnt get the misfire until after i just changed my oil a week and a half ago, and i put in about 1/4 or 1/3 qt too much :banghead:, so im going to be draining a lil out tomorrow. Im wondering if the extra oil blew a gasket or seal maybe the vc o ring that goes around the spark plug well or something... Ive got the usual oil leak from my oil fill cap that sits in the spark plug well in the vc, maybe some of that made its way down somehow... probably not though.
Well the new plugs went in (br7es gapped at .025) for the ~30psi that im going to be running at the dyno and did a couple pulls and the misfire went away. I'll drive a bit more and see if the plug fouls again from oil. Hopefully after i get the level corrected it wont, but we'll see.

Are you still getting the knock CEL during WOT pulls?

Who's tuning it on the dyno? Familiar with the Link? Before you go, I'd advise posting a log in order to avoid any gross errors which are no fun to find strapped on a dyno..

From what I understand of dsmlink, the fuel and timing sliders control WOT and near WOT. If you want to tune transitions between cruise and WOT, then use the raw maps.

Fuel sliders control during WOT. Timing sliders control always.

Under direct access, fuel and timing can be controlled under all loads, i.e. light cruise to WOT.

if i get knock the CEL does show, why do you ask?
And yes it did happen during the misfire.
As of yesterday with the fresh plugs, in a 2nd gear pull i get no knock from 3k to 8k. The tune is still exactly the same as in the log 4-15-05 as posted above, but im running 100 octane now and i turned the boost up to about 22psi. I have a thread going on the link forums in the v3 laptop application forum... ECMTuning User Support Forums

I found that i have a spot where from about 400hz to 1400hz the a/f est and my wideband seperate. The a/f est matches the target a/f ratio in the direct access map, but the wideband is reading leaner. I figured i would try to dial in the airflow a bit there. Any suggestions on how much to add? The wideband reads ~2 points leaner than the a/f est in that area. You can see it in the 4-15-05 log... just display a/f est, plxwb, throttlepos, and closed loop and you can see how they seperate and then come back together.

I really like how the adjustments i make in the timing direct access map are exactly what i get in the log, but when i make a change in the fuel DA map, then its off. Id like to get things tweaked and dialed in perfectly so that when i make a change in the fuel map, its exactly what happens in the log like the timing does.

All of the recent logs have been posted above. Car is tuned nicely at 20psi with 91 octane gas. Any boost higher than that is difficult to get away with tuning on the street. The tuner is pretty good, he is AEM certified and knows what he's doing with dsmlink. (Sean at FFTEC Full Function: Home)
I have a little more airflow tweaking to do, but other than that the car should be ready for wot tuning at higher boost.

As far as the sliders go, i havent touched em yet. Im looking at load factor and adjusting individual cells in the direct access maps.
