My turbo has pooped on itself from the looks of it and I plan on upgrading to a V-trim or a 57 trim. I want a relatively cheap turbo that can get the job down. The V trim looks to be a really nice turbo for the price. Slowboy claims they made like 350 awhp at 15 or 16 psi. I don't remember exact numbers, but anyway will this turbo take me to my goal of 400 whp later this summer when my fuel system is redone and i get a new clutch?

Do some research, there is alot of info on this board on both those turbos. They are both not all that common & there's probably a reason for that ;) . I have heard of surge issues that the owner couldn't get rid of for both those turbos. If you look at SBR's dyno testing, if I recall correctly the evoIII made better power then the vtrim. If you goal is 400 whp I'd defently pass on the vtrim & probably pass on the 57 trim in favour of the 50 trim. Take a look at the compressor maps & you'll see why most opt to go with the 50 trim. I know is seems so common for me to say go with a 50 trim, as everyone basically runs one but there's usually a reason why, if so many people run it :thumb:

I did a search, but came up with nothing and thats why I'm asking.

I like mine.. pulls like a freight train., bolt on was easy, got an oilfeed line from extremepsi
for it for cheap..im using a blowthrough setup and a made a nice 3" intake fr it.. couldnt be happier .. and it was cheap too.

edit: that turbo ate my clutch in 2 weeks of boosting around town. :)

I know there is info on the 57 trim as I had at one time considered that turbo & have never searched but have read through a tonn of info on here on the vtrim. To start you off here is the SBR dyno link. Look a few post down for the second motor combo as the first test aren't on a typical motor & aren't typical results. The vtrim made 329hp at 20 psi, while the evoIII made more & it's curves don't look as good to me as the evoIII.

Believe a bunch of the vtrim owners switched to the Bullseye t04b 50 trim because of the surge issues on the vtrim.

A stock clutch or your 2100 ?

I'll go ahead and close this thread now, because the last thing we need is another thread on this tired topic. :beatentodeath:

PS - If you find any posts from me where I recommend the V-trim, let me know so I can delete it.
