i just got a new cylinder head w/ hks 264 camshafts, and adjustable unorthodox cam gears. i looked at the camgears and one is not adjusted at all right on the 0 mark and the other one is moved one tick over to the right, it would be the intake camgear, do i need to worry about adjusting these camgears, im new to these types of things can someone help me out.

you need to make sure there both on 0 before installing these. now as far as missing with the timing of the car. if you advance the timing its going to make the cams more effective but harder to start. but it well also need more fuel. and if your boosting this may be a issue. now if you retard the timing you run richer. but you well detonate less and the cams well be less effective. so its really a tuning thing. to get the most out of the cams advance to get the most from your turbo retard. this is also the same with nitrous if you run spray your going to want to retard it alittle to help keep from detonating. happy tuning :dsm:

awesome thanks for the knowledge,
now for the timing belts and all that. I was told that i should get a new tensioner pulley, and idler pulley, along with balance shaft belt, and balance shaft tensioner pulley,
is this necessary.
