Today/yesterday I swapped my alternator and noticed I had a fair amount of oil around the oil pan, as well as some other areas that I dont know what to call because im still unfamiliar with these engines, (trying to learn as much as possible)

Im going to take it to power wash the bottom of the car tomorrow. Are they specific areas I should be looking at that would leak ? I plan on replacing the valve cover gasket, and cam seals (a thread on proper cam seal placement would be beneficial, or just general info ) as soon as I go get the VC gasket.. I woul like to half a leak-free engine please!

Ill post pictures up of the under carriage tomorrow immediately after the wash, Just wanted to get some ideas tonight so im not running back and forth tomorrow. As always, any information is much appreciated.

sounds like your on the right track. Typicallyoil on the alternator is effected by a bad valve cover gasket or oil pan gasket. its hard to say without seeing.

Figured it would be.. I was told it had "very minor cam seal leaks" when I bought it, so Im getting a vc gasket today as well with the cam seals. I just dont have a torque wrench..

and, technically you dont "have" to use a torque wrench for that work. however, since your new to working on cars(no offense) I would say the above post is pointing you in the right direction.

Please get the torque wrench. I had a terrible over-torque today and could have really used it LOL.

I'll have to take a pic of my engine to show you oil leaks. PHEW.
