Wasnt he the same guy that lied to you about your crankshaft though?
No, the block and crank went to him. The block came back perfect. I asked him to have the crank polished. The machinist polished the crank but didn't mic it as no material was being removed. I then took all of the stuff and brought it to another guy..... who assesmbled it. When I get picked it up and looked at me and said the journal on number 4 is off but should be ok. I took everything apart and redid everything. Technically he did what I asked. He assembled the block with what I gave him. If some guy hands you parts from a machinist and says can u assemble these there all set. Thankfully he rechecked the journals....he told me he woulda rebuilt it for me for no extra charge but. You live and u learn...

Yep Raif is a good dude and he is a straight up guy. One of the cleanest and busiest shops I have seen.I have known Raif for a couple of years. He built my transmission. I travel 2.5 hours from NYC just to have him work on my car.He sells assembled built short blocks for 3k which I think is very reasonable. But of course it will be cheaper if you do it yourself.

I'm just glad he's willing to share some of his wisdom with me regarding the oring process. My plans are to have my head milled again to get the proper finish I need. I don't think that much material needs to be taken off as I recently had it done. We will see boys, I'm hoping I can get the talon up and running while the new block is being machined.
