you put your car in second gear and towed it or you mashed the gas pedal while you were in second gear?

what worked great and what did you let go? you towed your car while it was running and when you stopped towing it it shut off?

im not sure what you did to your car because what you wrote makes no sense. id be more than happy to help or point you in the right direction...

not unless you drove through a deep puddle of water.
is my car running rich??
probably not.

clutch pedal sticking could be crank walk or you just need to bleed your clutch line.

LOL.. i put it in second and mashed the gas pedal.. a few seconds after i let the pedal go the car turned off on me. LOL.. and idk if these cars are like old muscle cars that could get flooded with gas and u have to wait a bit for it to turn back on.. . then try it. car was never towed. . sorry gofer just thought people would understand.

my friends 300zx TT will do something similar when accelerating hard, if he punches it then like pops it into neutral the car cant seem to catch its self and will die, but it starts right back up. When you said it just turned off when you let off it, did you put it in neutral or just slow down with it in gear?

thats a good question.. i am not totally sure i think i always put it in neutral.. since thats how i drive but i will try it again today and see what happens. .

ok.. so i tried it and nothing bad this time did not turn off.. would this be because the bov ia not recirculated??

It could be because of the unrecirculated BOV. Recirculate it and see if you have the same problems and let us know. I would think a severe boost leak could cause this as well but I would also think something this severe you would be complaining of a huge loss of power as well.

Its fuel injected not carbureted. Impossible it could flud itself from gas. Only if water came in the intake causing it to hydrolock it self.
the engine can "flood" itself (for lack of a better word) but i call it running extremely RICH. i was just being a smart ass in my first post because his explaination of the problem sucked...

your bov not being recirculated will cause you to run extremely RICH after going into boost and letting off on the throttle. when you do this the air thats already been metered by the MAF escapes (through the bov) causing a RICH condition inside your motor... this will cause the motor to die because it gets "flooded" with fuel for a second but most of the time it just causes it to bog in between shifts.

+1

my DSM was an automatic and back in the day when i didn't know any better i was running my BOV venting to atmosphere. i never noticed a problem though because when an A/T shifts your still flooring it and the bov never opens.

im guessing you still have a boost leak, what dsm doesnt? but not having your bov recirculated is a problem that needs to be fixed.

i really dont think its a boost leak because i just put on the punishment fmic and well i tightened it as hard as i could. and the previous fmic kit on it would not handle me going in boost.. one the couplers would manage to pop off.. the punishment one can handle it.. yeah everytime i switch gears it does seem like it want to die if i am in boost, the rpm goes down to zero and cars turns off and then turns back on.. i just need to find the right tube to recirculate the bov. want to find the oem one. but its hard too.. do anyparts stores sell them??

honestly you can make one by using some rubber hose and clamps from home depot for around $10 you've just got to be creative. thats what i did to get my HKS to recirc, the pic of the one i mades in my profile gallery engine bay shot.
if you really want the stock one though PM me and ill see if i can't hook it up for a fellow dsm'r, ive got a couple of them.

i just came back from home depot to buy some bolts. and asked if they had rubber hosing 1 1/2 thick and they said no..
