Hey guys, I have a 95 eclipse gst and its time for me to start looking into upgrades, i currently have a stock turbo. Can i buy a t28 or a big t28? what else do i have to upgrade? and where can i buy one (For a decent price, but not so cheap it will break in a weak).. Feel free to add your opinions:confused:
Thanks

awesome, thank you. another question though, im new to this and what does ported mean for the extra 95 bucks?

Porting helps open up the trurbine side to help with boost creep..Boost creep meaning you have your boost set to x psi and it creeps upwards..I would have them port it...FP does a hell of a job with their porting..

I know the FP big t28 is kinda pricey, but it flows almost as much as the evo 3 but is a direct bolt on which helps you 2g guys..

Ok, thanks again man.
I really appreciate it

Fixed.

For the price of the T28 he'd be better to get a new Evo III 16G and piece together an install kit....less money spent for better reliability and more airflow.

The only time I'd ever recommend a new T28 to someone is if they're a California resident and they want a little more airflow than the T25 without drawing a bunch of attention from inspectors.

Ok, where would be a "good" place to buy that from? and what pieces would i need to install it?

alright, clipped or unclipped?
and i dont have to do anything with the o2 housing or fuel injectors or anything? just that install kit

alright, well i now know were to start. thanks everyone

If you stay with stock boost you will be ok..If you want to turn the boost up down the road, yes then follow the upgrade path..

I rode in a 2g with this turbo on stock boost and it was just fine..Nothing broke ever for the guy who owned it..

I think we've had enough fun.

O.P.- You asked about a T28, we provided you with a link. I suggested the Evo III 16G, a link was also provided by another helpful member, and yet another member posted the upgrade path for you to base your choice upon.

This site is FULL of information on this very topic. We're not here to tell you what parts to install- we're here to tell you what works, what doesn't, and based on ten years of experience you should be able to find some helpful information on this very site to help you decide. Being new to these cars is not really an excuse anymore as we've built a database of information that is just staggering.

Search, see what's out there, and form your own decision based on what you're looking to spend. You really can't go wrong- it's not like there are bad turbo choices between the Small 16G, Big 16G, Evo III 16G, and T28....each turbo has it's benefits.
