CAN YOU PUT THE TURBO/INTAKE MANIFOLD/OIL PAN FROM A TURBO 4G63 TO A NON TURBO 4G63?? HOW WILL IT RUN?

There are already many threads about this but here goes:

The difference a turbo engine has is the pistons are stronger & lower compression and oil squirters that squirt oil on the bottom of the pistons for cooling.

The only difference on the intake is an extra line for running the BOV off of.

You will need a turbo ecu and you'll have to back your base ignition timing off quite a bit (or retune the timing curve in the ECU) because of the higher compression. You also don't have the wiring for the knock sensor. Both of these should be done for gas, but for E85 you would be fine.

Yea Well I Have The Full Tsi Awd But The Engine Is Knocking But I Got A Nt 4g63 Laying There So All I Need To Do Is Fix The Cam Timing?

i had same problem a turbo motor with shot pistons and a good non turbo motor with fresh rebuild sitting on the stand. threw that sucker in the car it had a threaded boss in the back that my knock sensor plugged into (by the way was not mistaken on it being turbo had no oil squirters) threw my head on it put in the car, it ran great did no ecu tuning (was not to worried not my daily driver plus just spare engine that i bought for 50 bucks) i ran it for over a year till my new motor was ready never had any running problems it was strong with the higher compression. not saying it was a good i dea or not but it got me by for quite a while in a pinch they work

Ignition timing, not cam timing. You just need to turn the CAS to retard timing (use a timing light). Base timing is supposed to be 5 degrees, set it at 0, maybe even less and you will probably be OK. Do you have a logger so you can watch for knock?
