I put my car back together and took it around the block and it wont pull, it makes a loud whining sound like a supercharger. No smoke or anything. and link said my intake temps reached 150* and I brought it back home to cool down.. Whats wrong now?....

Just get a replacement and keep this one as parts. Or a paper weight. Rebuild the replacement just for piece of mind.

Just noticed something.

How long had your turbo been smoking before it got to the point of making noise? Often a turbine seal issue, if ignored, can escalate into a full-blown turbo issue rather quickly depending on how badly the seal is allowing hot exhaust gas to enter the cartridge and dry out the turbine-side journal bearing.

About 3 weeks to a month. I couldnt figure out why it was burning oil. I thot it was the feed line or the drain but I fixed those and it still smoked. That was when I posted that thread.

I had a similar problem like that, but It ended up just being my alternator belt whining.

Yea, I wish my proble was the belt but its not. its the turbo.. Worst part to be the thing to go in my opinion

Turbine seal was already wiped out at that point, and the exhaust flow likely continued to enter the cartridge.

Once you develop a turbine seal leak due to excessive inlet pressure, excessive crankcase pressure, or an otherwise restricted drain, you have a very small window of time to remedy the problem before oil passes between the seal and cartridge...burning to both parts and causing an uneven sealing surface.

Yea I figured that..:ohdamn:
I just wasnt sure at the time what the cause of the leaking was. Like always, I found out when it was to late

So, my rebuild kit came in today. It doesnt seem any cheaper then the parts that came out of my turbo. Ill take pictures of the kit a little later. My question is, What size c clip pliers do I need to use to take the journal bearing out?

This is a picture of the kit, and pics of the turbine wheel
